Now whenever I give stuff like rockeaters to Orerl and Laranga or Cows to Dirk and such, or even greet other denizens I don't get a dialogue thingy where they talk to me. Why is that? I'm quite sure that it's not because of gags, cause I haven't done anything to my system.

You're probably deaf

either that or you pissed of one of the denizens, and the Denizens Union has decided to give you the silent treatment

No..I've gotten this too. When I greet the falconer, or say something about his bird he's lost..I get nothing. And I know the quest hasn't been done because I've just come from the room where the bird chirped above me. I didn't really think anything of it. Never really thought it was anything wrong, but now I'm unsure.



Edit: And I wasn't deaf.

Could be the wind is drowning out your voice... that sometimes happens with scholars.

Could be - but that doesn't make sense for the falconer. The Ethereal Plane doesn't have wind.

Ever eaten a cake from the fae girl in Faethorn? I heard that gives indigestion. Maybe the falconer ate one of them.

Deaf or gagged seem to be the only two things. Diagnose yourself, and then turn off your system are the only two suggestions I have. Not sure what else could cause this.

It sometimes happen, something wrong with the game itself. I remembered back in Smoke Mountain, greeting that fink general 20 times and not getting a reply. Most recently was while doing spectre quest, gave 11 flasks and didn't get anything...the denizen didn't say a word, even when I greeted.

You were probably deaf, spectre's deafen quite often, so you most probably were deaf for that part, and well it's quite spammy with the says, so i usually just finish the quest deaf before i cure it.

I wasn't deaf. I checked. Note that after giving the flasks I didn't get anything in return despite waiting for about 2 minutes. And I couldn't possible had been deaf back in smoke mountain.

I'm also quite sure that I'm not deaf, and since it's Thorgal's system I don't think that I have a problem with gags, though I'll try it without just to be sure.

It is a misweave. It happens. Keep attempting again, and you'll get where you're going. You can beg/supplicate the rockeaters/corpses off those who don't use them.
