The leader of Paavik should not be undead.

Or, we should be able to get amnesty from the undead even if we cannot speak with them.

Convince Paavik to get a new leader? tongue.gif
Daganev2005-11-28 18:52:35
Yeah, and combat should be only be punch with the option of buying the kick artifact tongue.gif

That would only be slightly viable if there WAS an artifact for influencing undead and even then it's stretching it.

Wonder why Paavik has a dead leader anyways. rolleyes.gif
Daganev2005-11-28 23:13:25
There is a very cheap and easy tool for influencing the undead. Its not our fualt that you refuse to do business with people who have such tools. I doubt that it would even cost 1 credit.
Vix2005-11-28 23:14:29
Now you're just being greedy aren't you? rolleyes.gif
Daganev2005-11-28 23:18:30
I think I should start a thread that says I wish that Sap could only be cured with an skill in Forging, or that I wish cities could start making Potions.

The leader of Paavik is dead, because he is a ghost, and still haunts the village. But I'm sure you knew that.
Vix2005-11-28 23:22:17
Question is why the village KEEPS him as their leader.

This situation is different from the scenarios you listed in that without your precious crow cloaks which Serenwilde so loathes, we can't get unenemied to Paavik (or Ankrag?). Not that it matters for Ankrag, but we influence Paavik and without amnesty, we can't. You can't justify not giving the enemies a chance by dangling a skill we don't have access to and hate terribly.
Daganev2005-11-28 23:31:11
Oh yes, Change the game and all the rules for serenwilde! They shouldn't have to be diplomatic with thier enemies at all! Give them everything they want for they are people with cute avatars!

Classic.

1) Thanks for calling my avatar cute! happy.gif

2) I'm not implying that we change the rules for just Serenwilde. Celest, Geomancers, Shadowdancers, and Night-Ebonguard can benefit just as well.

3) WHY should we be "diplomatic" just so we can influence undead? WHY throw away everything that has happened for the past decade or so IG?
Daganev2005-11-28 23:42:54
Because you decided to take paavik from people who could influence the undead. If you knew that you couldn't or were unwilling to talk to the undead, why did you become an enemy there?

Nobody benefits from this suggested change save Serenwilde. Especially with the wyrdling, I have allready given people from celest cloaks when they paid handsomely for them.
Vix2005-11-28 23:46:34
From Shorlen's post, it sounds like he didn't know he couldn't influence the Baron. Since the Baron is a ghost and not the "Rawr... braaaaains..." type of undead, perhaps we could solve this by simply making him influencable. And what does taking Paavik have to do with this anyways?

And do read, all of those people I listed benefit. Even those Glomdoring guilds since they won't have to pester a Crow person for a cloak. It's just a simple problem with a simple solution. No need to draw it out into a flamefest over politics.
Daganev2005-11-28 23:50:52
Well, I'm just curious how you took paavik without dealing with all the named undead people. I assume you did deal with them.

Serenwilde is suppose to hate cities also, that doesn't stop them from getting cleanse enchantments now does it?

Its a silly request, so I stole a silly responce from Hajamin, thats all.

It would help if everyone had herbs and alchemy so then they wouldn't have to pester those herbalists and Alchemists!
Vix2005-11-28 23:56:06
This is a completely neutral suggestion. It's a simple matter over a village, not a Glom v. Seren war on another front. Serenwilde distrusts cities, yes, but cleanse and all of the other enchantments are needed for survival in many cases. Your stupid cloaks are only useful in non-life threatening one-time instances.

EVERYONE can benefit from this and it does not tip the balance like your alchemy situation. I don't find this request silly at all either.

Actually we locked you all in the mansion and influenced the living people. We don't have to deal with the undead at all, just let you all go racing in there and laugh at you.
Shamarah2005-11-29 00:08:32
Daganev, your argument would be much more relevant if there was a similar thing where Glomdorites required an item made only by Serenwilde to get unenemied from somewhere.

But there's not.
Daganev2005-11-29 00:16:04
Faethorn has to be neutral for us to be unenemied there, Faethorn has to belong to moon for us to be unemied to moon, and even then we would need assistance from serenwilde to be unenmied there.

But I understand, Serenwilde only has 6 villages, (They deserve 4 more!) and two mines. They need to be able to do everything on their own. Its not enough that Magnagora isn't allowed to have another mine if they tried simply because they -are- able to talk to the undead. I'm sure they want that changed too just after they get this changed. Every couple months the same thing comes up. Give us abilities that other people have and we want! Its a minor ability so its ok if you lose it, its not life threatening!
Ashteru2005-11-29 00:19:18
Calm down a bit, Dag. It's just an idea, no need to flame anyone.
