I'm curious what yall think of Furrikin getting a forest regen like Faeling and Elfen. They are as much of forestals as Faeling and Elfen are since they come from ackleberry
Unknown2005-11-30 03:55:54
Hmm, not really... rat-like furrikin could come from a city... wink.gif
Unknown2005-11-30 04:04:11
Well, Tae'dae, Aslaran, Loboshigaru and Furrikin are all slightly foresty... but I think the regeneration on Elfen and Faeling represent some sort of spiritual connection to the forest.

The histories have Elfen being the race most in tune with the forests, and Faelings are the result of them breeding with trees. laugh.gif

Although I'm not terribly against it, are you certain you would say Furrikin are as equally linked to the forests as Elfen are? I personally probably wouldn't.
Unknown2005-11-30 04:16:04
Furrikin dont have their forest back so no they cant have it, why because we dont like them. In reality, they dont really need it, you already have good enough buffs, why do you want free regen now?
Unknown2005-11-30 04:17:49
Because she's a greedy forestal. laugh.gif
Unknown2005-11-30 04:58:20
Hmm..I think that Furrikin should get regen...but it doesn't exactly have to be forestal. Could just be kind of like Lucidians...just have to be outside, some where. Doesn't have to have the day/nightime thinggy.
Unknown2005-11-30 05:01:13
I don't think they need it, what with their other advantages.
Shiri2005-11-30 05:06:47
It would make sense, and not really hurt anything, but we're fine as is.
Unknown2005-11-30 05:09:37
Actually, what would be cool is if Furrikin get lvl 2 regen when they are following or being followed by a Tae'dae. And of course the same benefits for the Tae'dae being with a Furrikin.

That would be so cute. happy.gif

right, you are fine how you are..

bloody resistances, faster eq/balance... anyone with faster eq doesn't have a right to compain, i don't care if you have lvl 3 weakness to fire/cold/lightning/blunt/cutting/magic/psionic plus lvl 3 negative regen similar to a nature curse.

It wouldn't hurt you, it would hurt others whos regen means more to them

and ya, furrikin+Taedae would be a nifty combo, we might get serenguard warriors+furrikin druids/moondancer combos running around, Tae'dae get +1 Con +1 Str, and the Furrkin get +2 Int, or something like that.

then again any such bonuses would either be:

1.not good enough, and no one would go for it, cept 1 a hundred new newbie friends who want to level together, or;

2.Really good and suddenly every other person is a tae'dae/furrkin

Conclusion:

Don't change the race stats around, oh and

Or even if another Tae'dae is in the room, that's awesome!
Unknown2005-11-30 06:19:17
Allied Tae'dae and allied Furrikin, yes, but not if they're your enemy, makes no sense then.

I like this one too. And damn Zenji, I know +eq is good, but we're only 1/16 faster, sheesh. tongue.gif

I tried having a furrikin Tae'dae combo and it worked pretty well, even without hard coded advantages. Having a furrikin and a Tae'dae allied to eachother giving the furrikin regen would make sense and be cool (It would reperesent the tae'dae protecting the furrikin) However, I think it would be overkill if the tae'dae got the regen also. With the sip bonus + high con, tae'dae regen can get crazy with the enchantments, not having to get artifacts for that added regen would be nuts.

So in summary, I think a furrikin regen while being allied to a tae'dae who is in the same room would be quite a nice addition. Would be even better if it was restricted to Bear furrikin, or tae'kin but I think that would be too bothersome, and probabbly unncessary.

Yes, they do Munsia. Unless they have Crow or Night, they'll regen in Serenwilde.

And Furrikin are rather good as is. They don't excel at anything, but they're decent all around. Could stand to have another point of int, and regen would be cool, but they don't need anything else.

I can't think of any aslaran references in canon that are linked to a forest. Even when Craven was enslaving aslaran, they "roamed free across grasslands". (Anyone ever figured out where there's all these grasslands to roam free across, anyway? Surely not the Moors. Why is it people designing swords-and-sorcery worlds almost always include so few open plains, when the real world is so well provided with them?)
Murphy2005-11-30 15:24:37
check out WOW for some good open plains action
