Unenemying

Back to Common Grounds.

Yeah, I went Mag too, and nobody cared tongue.gif

Anyway, I'm at... 0% Fabled Influence now, how much is it actually going to cost me to go get unenemied from Nil with parley? I'd really rather not waste a fortune (yes, it's a fortune to me) if I don't have to.
Ialie2005-11-30 07:18:43
Are you still in Auseklis' order?
Soll2005-11-30 07:20:34
Only time I've ever had parley used was for Celestia, and we spent 200,000 gold on that. I hear that we overspent by a hel of a lot, though. Probably 75,000-100,000 if you've got good charisma. Get a trans faeling influencer to buff his charisma up, then do it for you.

I'd really hope not. He might be neutral to the taint, but He sure as hell didn't like cities.
Bau2005-11-30 07:40:29
Off topic by the first post - well done.

Can anyone other than Soll actually answer with some hint of certainty?
Bau2005-11-30 07:42:11
And for those who haven't actually spoken to Auseklis ever, one of His favourite comments about cities was to use them if you needed to, just don't trust them or rely on them.
Sylphas2005-11-30 07:52:15
Yes, I know that Bau, I've been here since open beta too. I'm not sure that fits with joining one though. I guess Mag will have to be happy with a citizen who is only using them, and who doesn't plan to actually trust or rely on their own citymates.

I've always heard aroundn 200k for Cosmic planes.
Bau2005-11-30 08:06:24
Magnagora never asked that I trust or like them, just that they have my loyalty. Now if you really want to whine about Bau and her loyalties, please go create your own thread that I can summarily ignore. Bau has her reasons, and it's not required that everyone know them.

If Auseklis does not approve of her actions, He's welcome to cast her out if He (ever) returns.

I'd heard 200k, too, but I've been told 125k in-game, and I don't want to be spending -all- my gold. :/

Why don't you use amnesty? Or is that not a potential permanent solution like parley?

Can you imagine trying to influence a demon lord?
Narsrim2005-11-30 11:51:48
It can be done.
Niara2005-11-30 11:55:03
Hmm, don't they attack you when you are enemied to Nil?

She's from their city. I don't see the problem of getting a handful of rotating chanters. ninja.gif

The chance of being permanently unenemied with amnesty is about 3%. 1 in 23 so far for me, and yes, I'm keeping track biggrin.gif
Acrune2005-11-30 14:41:51
Hey, if it saves you 200k, whatever works tongue.gif

You need to not be on reprieve when you try for the unenemying though. So, you get a nine month reprieve instead of permanent, and have to wait nine more months to try to become permanently unenemied again. So, probabilistically, if you really wanted permanent free unenemy status from an organization, it would take 300 or so lusternian months.

Unless you can kill something to lose your reprieve, then try again tongue.gif

But all that time you would have a temparary unenemying, so I guess that kinda works tongue.gif

Although killing more stuff does sound more fun...

blink.gif Did I just suggest using terror tactics to get permanently unenemied to a village? OMG! THAT SO SHOULD WORK! dry.gif But it only makes sense for Magnagora to do it, because it's so horrible biggrin.gif

I can just see it now:

influence yojimbo with amnesty for daevos
Yojimbo spits in his palm and slaps his hand into yours, sealing the pact.
"Daevos may peacefully conduct business with the Village of Estelbar for 7
months," Yojimbo says to you.

Daevos says, "WHAT?! ONLY seven months? How dare you!"

Daevos swings the Lightning Fang of the Dark Dragon at a furrikin guard.
The final blow proves too much for a furrikin guard, who falls to the floor a broken, bloody mess.

Daevos says to Yojimbo, "I recommend you reconsider your offer."
Daevos says to you, "Try again and see if he has learned his lesson."
