It would be really nice if tailors had a FashionSense skill that let us tell how well dressed we or someone else was, to tell how much of a bonus they recieve to influencing from the opulence of the clothing they are wearing. That would help we few who care actually figure out how much clothing helps for influencing...

From the clothing that can be seen, you would rate Shorlen's opulence at 134 points.


It would also be nice to have the skill tell us how much of their body is covered in clothing, sorta like the artisan InteriorDesign skill, since it's sometimes really confusing what clothing can be worn with what.

The following areas of Shorlen's body are covered in clothing:

ACCESSORY: arms, back
OVERWEAR: back
NORMAL: chest, gut, arms, legs, waist

I'm glad there isn't a fashion police. I'd have been in serious trouble all those years that I wore insane amounts of jewelry to spam my description and make people think I wasn't naked *eyeshift* Mind you, my opulence would have been through the roof, but so would my 'tacky' rating

this sounds useful to me, especially if it gave a summery of what each of the clothing pieces added or detracted from your total.

No, it's a completely new shirt (I should know, I made it myself) but my underwear seems to make me look richer. I've asked my guild about it, but noone seems to know. Then it led to some awkward moments.

Only thing I can think of is that panties and bra are two bonuses, and robes is only one bonus.

Greatrobes are armor and thus have 0 or negative opulence. If your outer layer of clothing is greatrobes, it'll help as much as nudity. Underwear thus has more opulence than greatrobes.
