Like in public libraries can we have some text that points out that they may have to use the BOOKSHELF command?
Ialie2005-12-04 08:01:18
Also is it possible to have a command to make everyone able to use the library without having to issue public cards?
Richter2005-12-04 09:06:50
Yeah, something like:
You see a sign here instructing you to use the PORTAL command to enter the
aetherplex system. You see a sign here instructing you that WARES is the command to see what is for sale.
Also, in a public manse, like Rhysus's institute, or my own library, it would be nice to have a command to set it for everyone. Though, I don't know anything about the library system (yet!), so I'm not sure that's possible.

Just thought of a great idea for making interacting with libraries easier for new people.
When you walk into a library one could see.
A library catalogue rests here on a pedestal. Perhaps you should BROWSE LIST.
So one would see this when they browse list
Subjects in this Annex:
1. ALCHEMY 13. ETHEREAL 25. LIGHT 37. PUB-MAGNA
2. ASTRAL 14. FAE 26. MAGIC 38. PUB-SEREN
3. BIOGRAPHY 15. GEMS 27. MORTALS 39. RACES
4. BIRTHSTONES 16. GLOMDORING 28. NATURE 40. RELIGION
5. BOOKBINDING 17. GODS 29. NEWBIES 41. RITUAL
6. CATALOG 18. GUIDE 30. NOVICE 42. SONG
7. CELEST 19. HART 31. PHILOSOPHY 43. TAILORING
8. CHESS 20. HERBALISM 32. PLANAR 44. TAINT

10. DEBATE 22. JEWELRY 34. PROSE
11. ELEMENTS 23. KELPIES 35. PUB-CELEST

YAY! THANK YOU!
Library hollow.
Walls of thick leafy vines compose a dome overhead, with one single pillar of
pure onyx centered in the middle to provide support. Along the verdant walls are
many mahogany bookcases that have been crafted to fit perfectly along the
rounded wall of this library. In the center of the room, along the moss-covered
floor, are fluffy sitting pillows of various sizes and colors meant to provide
ample comfort for any weary reader. One small globe of light hanging from a lush
green ivy vine acts as a lantern that only dimly illuminates the area. Looking
up through the vines, it appears to be endless night as you can see countless
stars in unfamiliar constellations twinkling far above. Pushed against the wall,
a large bookshelf stands ready to hold various literature. You may use the BOOKSHELF commands here.
