Am I the only one to notice that there's a decided lack of quests to screw over the communes?
There's the Gorgog quest, which hits both cities.
There's raising Marilynth, and Ladantine, which screws Celest and Magnagora respectively.
Killing Supernals and Demonlords, to mess with each city.
And to mess with Serenwilde and Glomdoring?
Well...you can kill the Avatars...if you can get past all the totems and guards...and even then, it doesn't have -nearly- the impact that killing Demon Lords/Supernals has.
And there's the Whitehear...oh wait. No there isn't. That quest is disabled.
It's getting kinda old, that Serenwilde/Glomdoring can strike at Magnagora/Celest through quests, and there's no way to strike back.

You can always attack and kill White Hart by force.

Oh yes, because I'm sure that'll work just -sooooo- much better than the Avatars, with their guards, totems, and being unable to taint the place up.
Daganev2005-12-07 23:13:13
Lets try this one more time... thats a really valid point, you might want to try geting people together IN GAME to try to find a way to make totems produce less power.
Perhaps even use the plots board once you figure out other cool ideas.

Where is this Plots newsboard? I don't seem to have it. I even tried CONFIG NEWSIGNORE NONE, and I still don't have it.

Yes, I tried that once, with about 15 other people. It didn't go so well. He has a large amount of HP, room attacks, affliction attacks, and it's hell to just GET to him.

Hm, you need Mentor status and I believe 300 hours of playtime all in all. Something like that.

Or we can do what Serenwilde always does, and whine until we get our way.

The equal of the Supernal/Demonlord killing was supposed to be the killing Hart/Crow quests, but they're disabled. I certainly wouldn't mind them being enabled again.

Funny, I thought it was simply Ixchilgal complaining about the lack of quests to hurt communes compared to the fact that there are quests to hurt cities. I'd hardly call that IC. I mean, sure, he could start trying to develop a way IC to hurt them (maybe), but he does have a valid point. The crow/hart quest should be enabled again, IMO.

Sweet, enable the quest so that one side or the other will be permanently working to reraise their Greater Spirit, as the moment both are alive one will die shortly after.
There's a reason it's disabled, and it won't just be "reenabled". It'd need to be redone first.
Shiri2005-12-08 00:16:02
Yeah...I think it's a nice change from when Magnagora could do Crow endlessly at no real risk to themselves and Serenwilde was screwed out of options to retaliate, but now we have gorgogs.
So sure, add in -a- commune hurting quest and revamp the crow/hart thing, and it might work.

If the moderators want to take a strong stand against the forums being used for IC-based insults being thrown back and forth, it has to start somewhere.

I'm quite sure he meant Serenwilde's characters players, you whine on the board not in game.
I mean whine in general, not directed at you or anyone else.
Unknown2005-12-08 00:28:38
Well, fair enough I suppose. Magnagora has always had everything handed to it on a silver platter, even with all their griefing. Only reasonable that Serenwilde would complain, right?
OOC insults are fun!
