To make it short: What do you give your friends/family for christmas?
I was lame enough to give them just little cards and never-kept promises last year so I can't do that again.. but I never know what to give someone.
Someone give me an idea!
(And yes I do hate christmas just because of the 'you have to find a present for everyone etc etc' kinda takes all the fun from it)

Little cheap things 'cause I buy me a laptop, but they know that and that I need it, so they are all happy. to my understanding family.

Money always works.
Could make them all cookies. or fudge. That is good and it's pretty cheap.

I generally do gift cards simply because I'd rather get a gift card than a present I can't use. My little brother and sister will probably get a $50 card to Barnes and Noble, etc...

Gift cards is tacky. Money is even worse. I'm buying my brother a case of highly caffeinated water, my mother a trip to the spa, and my father some fancy leatherman. Because he uses crap like that.

I usually bake something or buy something and make it look like I baked it for not-so-close friends (classmates, cousins, etc), and then gift certificates in the 15 - 20 dollar range at Indigo (huge Canadian bookstore), Best Buy (do you have that in the States?), etc.
Or I make something from Martha Stewart, but then again...

I usually make stuff, either via knitting, crocheting or sewing.
But this year I don't have enough time to get stuff done, so I'm just going down to the local fair trade store (http://www.tenthousandvillages.com) and look around. They have some neat little things that are unique and don't cost too much, plus I feel good giving them my money.

Wow that's a hard question. Who are they?(Age'n'sex?)
University guys like the Arrested Developement series, I got my bro Season two for $40 (That's like 30 American dollars)
I got my sister some music CD's she's hinted she wants... tacky, but she's 5 years older than me, so I really don't know her well...
Got my Dad a WW2 fighter plane, because he loves world war two and puzzles
Gonna bake gingerbread cookies for my buddies
All depends on who they are.
