Okay.. I just got a list with (hopefully) all alchemy potions.. and I can find colewort nowhere in the ingredients list.. and as far as I know it's not used for curing either.. I think. Did I miss something?

It is used in cooking and ecology.

.. that's all? Or do they need like -large- quantities of it?

Dunno.

I'm a cook and colewort is used for preserving foods. Takes one colewort per food item.
Tsuki2005-12-12 22:17:28
I may be mistaken, as I'm not a cook, but it might take more colewort to preserve different things. I could swear Ibaesha once said it took 4 colewort ... for a platter, maybe?
As an herbalist, I haven't seen too much demand for colewort ... but then I also haven't seen too much demand for some of the other herbs not used in health potions, and I don't go out seeking business. When cooks have generally been looking for colewort, though, they've tended to want a lot. So I'm assuming they stock up and use it. Also cooks tend to have shops, and only might preserve a few things, perhaps on the assumption that someone who's hungry is going to come, buy, and eat. I love it when things are preserved, because I always forget to have Tsuki eat something until she starts starving. Much love to Ibaesha who not only preserved but made more filling some of the fruit kabobs she made ... last week or so, I guess. Use satiation, eat one of those, and I've gone from starving to death (where I was taking damage from it) up to utterly satiated.

Well the skill valley in ecology uses 1 colewort per. I use it often but not much because levitation is annoying
Sylphas2005-12-13 01:00:51
Levitation is annoying, but a skill that causes concussion without it is nice, especially a roomwide concussion attack.
Penelope2005-12-13 03:54:00
Hrm, I've never really paid attention to how many colewort it takes to preserve any of the foods that I do. I just take them all out and go to town.
Unknown2005-12-13 04:07:25
1 colewort per food item. The interesting thing is that you can use a colewort to preserve a bottle of alcohol and the bottle will be set to 800-900 months decay time.
Xavius2005-12-13 04:07:45
One colewort per cooking preservation, no matter what it is.
Bah, Guido!
