Okay, average tempurate for the Greater Toronto Area is 0/32 for you Americans Degrees in November. This week went as low as -9 (like, 16F or something) without windchill. With windchill is was COLD. What the crap? Where's my Global Warming (Yes, I've taken enviromental studies, I know it's bad and makes hurricanes but I'm COLD) Anyone else noticed this? How cold is it where everyone else lives? Or am I the only one?
Sylphas2005-12-14 13:18:29
It's cold as crap here in PA, but by January, this will feel warm. Hovering around the 20s most of the time I'm out in it.

steady at about 3 just below freezing with windchill.

I swore this was a thread about Grand Theft Auto. glare.gif

And it's pretty cold over here, like... 35-40 degrees right now. The parking lot outside of my work was like an ice skating rink.

Before Shiri writes it...

40 degrees? Why don't you sunbathe?

Some people should convert into metrical already... imperial is too weird.

I can see the reasoning for switching to metric for most things, but temperature isn't one of them. I'd rather have the higher degree of accuracy provided by non-decimal Fahrenheit temperatures than that of Celsius. And really, if you're going to do it, do it right, use Kelvin. No more of these silly negative temperatures.
Unknown2005-12-14 19:26:59
True, Kelvin ftw, since we use his scale on physics all the time.

I really wish the weather was different outside. It's about 278 degrees approx, so still too cold for my taste, but too hot for snow. sad.gif

-12 with -20 windchill thismorning for me in Newbrunswick.(Celcius)
Unknown2005-12-14 20:43:09

Kelvin is just as Metric as Celsius/Centigrade its just got a different 0 point i.e. absolute zero.

I know, I was just phrasing it weirdly. tongue.gif

Around 7-10C on morning or nigth. WE can get to 15C during the day, but it's windy and there's not a cloud, so the termical perception is of being awfully cold. Barcelona, bathing on the mediterranean sea and reporting here wink.gif
