Howdy all,
I'm a new player to Lusternia with many, many years experience in other IRE realms, and I'm working out a story arc for my character before I create him. In creating this, I'd like to take into consideration the classes available to me before writing out anything more to do with it.
I'd like to be affiliated with Celest or Serenwilde. If someone could post letting me know of the pros and cons of the classes available to me there I would appreciate it.
I am looking for a class that is solid in combat, has a good deal of utility, and preferably a tradeskill(if thats how things work here).
Thanks for your help,
Primax

I won't comment on all the class balances (hartstone and moondancers (with hexes) are both good, put it that way) but all classes can pick a tradeskill here. There's very little restriction too - only Hartstone and Moondancers can take the potions part of concoctions, only paladins from Celest and all the Seren guilds can take the herbal part, only warriors can take forging and only aquamancers and celestines can take enchantment. But there's also artisan, bookbinding, jewellery, tailoring and cooking that any guild can pick.

Think about Celestines guild. This guild have troubles lately but have awaysome combat potential if you take tarots. 3 instakills, Absolve mana instakill, Jusgement and Soulless, timed instakills. Awaysome heretic/infidel/inquisition and truheal of course.
And warriors here a way more fun then in other IRE games.

BAH, everyone forgets poor old poisons, the other lowmagic skill.
But i'd say Moondancers are the best (I'm completely unbiased ) but thats mainly because i love having the fae with me. Though demesners are good if they can learn to use their demesne well, hehe then again all classes are good if you use them well.
Also if you can get your head around Astrology it can be a great asset and in some conditions a money maker (beneficial effects fer sale ) also fun when you start telling people 'if you fight me you will become stupid'

Organizational affiliation is great and all, but I'd be more curious as to what kind of character you wish to play. What kind of focus do you have (combat, bashing, political, etc.), what kind of powers to you want available to you (summoning, physical combat, magic, room based power, influencing, etc.), and even what kind of race do you wish to use?
Asking for pros and cons of guilds out here is relatively silly due to how skills are selected here, rather than forced on you without any choices. Everyone tends to think their guild is best (I'm certainly no exception), so you would be better served to give everyone an idea of what YOU want first.
At least, that's what I think.
