Long time ago they tried to upgraded Astral for the level 90+ people.. maybe it's still left of one of those. I remember a bug when Astral critters dropped 4k gold and each time you killed them it would double.. so you killed them and got 4k then 8k then 16k etc.. I wanted to get rich but Hajamin deleted them.

The damage stat of weapons is barely taken into account during hunting, it's more focused upon the strength of the person hunting. Thus, a rapier with speed 250/damage 10, would kill faster than a broadsword speed 180/damage 200 quite easily.

Well, to Athana: He used that strong attack on you, easily did 2000 to me before the change, I never dared to bash them after the change since I knew that it would probably kill me in one hit now.

Not useless just not as good as for pvp.

erm.. Melan used to hunt as faeling with speed rapiers.. damage was crappy at best and you know what? He killed Astral mobs in 1-2 rounds on average. He was -way- faster than me and I bet that my staff hurts more ( he did like 400 dmg to me with those weapons).

Actually those are crappy rapiers for bashing. I bet those had around 200 precision and he use them for hunting. Or maybe he had one pair (for hunting and fighting) as Faeling he didnt need more speed on rapier?
