Somewhere on the Ethereal plane there are the remnants of a forest lost from before the Vernal Wars, Who followed Sister Sky or something. Within the forest would be the three Avatars of the nature spirit who are jealous because their commune ceased to exist and can never be restored so they seek the downfall of the other communes. So the Avatars have means to take out a few totems from Glomdoring and Serenwilde and means to bind the fae and shadows so they cannot be collected.
