Just trying to see what can be done with Figurines other than the miniatures battle. A few ideas.

1) Display Cases--Want more than one statue, have a case and then look at the item. This way, since we can't have a whole room of statues, we could have one of figurines. This would also allow minutues users to have a collection.

2) Animated Figurines--Little Homoculi that act similar to pets--not for use in miniature battles. It would also be a good way to have a remote conversation--you could use regular emotes thru the figurine especially if you're not in the same room.

3) Soul Object--Maybe if you invest a LOT into a figurine of yourself it acts similar to Transmigration or something akin to that.

4) Talking Figurines--Squeeze or Rub the Figurine and it says the subject's motto or warcry. Or create a magic mouth version of it to say anything you want. Or maybe a bunch of inane sayings and have the figurines talk to each other like Furbys. (Having the figurines do warcrys during miniatures battles might be fun).

Heh, don't worry Hajamin, I was just thinking of how to make them more versitile or something, especially since the fact a figurine is not a miniature until enchanted.

Artisans should be able to make wooden figurines that are just like the jewelry figurines, but faster and with less defense. Because then Artisan would be less useless and you wouldn't be giving more stuff to an already essential tradeskill.

Everything there sounds cool except for three, which is absolutely insane.

I love the idea of the figure speaking for me. It'd be all jedi council-ish, with there being a meeting, and half the people are holograms.

And you did say you were thinking about more uses for them Haj...

3. Might be insane, but maybe a unique or lesser twist--perhaps no "conglutination", but maybe something similar to vitae. Or maybe let the figurine absorb up to N afflictions before shattering.

One other idea I had.

Sympathetic Healing--After special investment of power, a user can give a figurine of himself to one with the healing skill. The healer could diagnose, assess, and use any healing power on the figurine to heal the user.

Anyway, some of the lesser ones are nice. I have a feeling display cases will become a requested item.

Figurines that can do that shouldn't be able to fight. They would be enchanted to be communication figurines, and would say and emote everything the person they're carved after says or emotes, when they're turned on, and unless they're in the same room with whomever it's modeled after. I'd love it.

I'd love to see any new features for figurines, as long as they don't get turned into puppetry/vodun.

To artisan, adding a skill, or a new design to boxes, which creates a carrying case, in which one figurine may be placed within. While inside, it does not decay, as the figure is kept in perfect condition to what it was placed in. Much like a box for Jewellery.

Can my doll be a figurine that doesn't die?

Really, I was in Deepnight, emoting me beating together my Hart and Crow figures. Quite fun.

I just realized, this is EXACTLY what I wanted: A doll similar to Jester dolls in Achaea but without the nasty effects.. just something to carry around.

my miniShiro , and I get to fight him too! It's made Jacquin relive the happier side of her childhood. Now she wants a Lyco doll and perhaps a few more for show.
