I prefer The Simpsons.
Stangmar2005-12-28 06:27:18
psh, at least EXPLAIN your choices.
Urath2005-12-28 06:30:33
I go Simpsons because of two main reasons.
(1) Family Guy is the same humor over and over. Simpsons always has something fresh.
(2) Simpsons reruns are funny to watch over and over. Family Guy is just sad in the end.

I can't be the only one that finds this hilarious.
Simpsons. It's less puerile, oddly enough.
Urath2005-12-28 06:37:25
It took me a few seconds but I get it. I have been pretty slow lately.
Stangmar2005-12-28 06:38:45
woooo! finally, somebody! All my friends like family guy for some reason. I was never able to get into it. Simpsons actually has originality. Family Guy just seems like it's trying to rip off the simpsons.
Urath2005-12-28 06:43:48
I wouldn't go and say Family guy is ripping off the Simpsons. Family Guy just has potty humor, stupidity, and minor drug reference. The Simpsons is a kind of humor that everyone can relate to. Seriously, what was Seth McFarlen thinking when he made an alcholic talking dog?
Unknown2005-12-28 07:57:17
Family Guy by leaps and bounds. It is more daring, funnier and more adult with it's humour. It does have potty jokes, yes, but there is a lot of social and political commentary going on too.
Unknown2005-12-28 07:58:08
Yea, I love the Simpsons. There's always something I can relate to. Plus Homer is hilariously dumb.

The old Simpsons episodes were awesome.
The new ones just suck. Non-sequiters are not Matt Groenings strong point.
Exact opposite with Family Guy. I don't like series one, but two was pretty good, and three was excellent.
So, basically:
Old Simpsons > Family Guy
New Simpsons < Family Guy

Family Guy.
The Simspons lost alot of its charm many many years ago. Family Guy is fresh and pushes the limit. There hasn't been a single episode I didn't like, while the Simspons has bored me a few times.
Also, Family guy is actually quite a bit of intelligent humor, which I think throws people - A LOT of stuff goes over people's heads, which is shown when they think its just potty humor.

Family guy pwns the simpsons. Although some of the older simpsons are pretty funny.
Ialie2005-12-28 08:44:33
I love the family guy references to Henry Higgens, willy wonka, and other movies and so on.
Arix2005-12-28 10:10:01
I prefer the Older Siimpsons episodes (I.E anything from the first 6 seasons)
That one where Flanders goes crazy is my all-time favorite. It had sooo many good quotes. Although the one where Marge buys a pretzel franchise is also good

Actually, I perfer Futurama to both My friends were watching it all year - quite a few episodes were just... so wonderfully funny.
Shiri2005-12-28 10:57:21
Futurama's the best of the three, I have to agree.
Unknown2005-12-28 22:43:17
Futurama has never really struck a cord with me. There are funny parts, but too many long silences inbetween my giggling .
Manjanaia2005-12-28 23:21:31
Family Guy is one of few shows that makes me laugh out loud, so I have to say that, however you can't beat the Simpsons for simple easy watching. Bored? Put the Simpsons in, you really can't go wrong.
Futurama's similar, it doesn't make me laugh out loud but it's good to watch. And King of the Hill ain't bad but I'd choose the others first. Watching all four in a run is always fun

Aww man, I forgot about Futurama. Now I'm thinking about the other animated prime time shows that I liked. Hrm...The Critic, The Tick, Freakazoid...
Unknown2005-12-28 23:24:53
I miss The Tick and Freakazoid..
