Okay. I've been searching around for a little while, and I see people with these wicked cool signatures. I'm wanting to know where you guys are getting them, and if you're all customizing them, whoa... You guys are good!

My wife Kayde made mine, Asarnil made the other i have, I believe he has a threat still open where people can beg him to make them one. I think its in the creative arts section.

Most signatures are homemade, and then of course there if Fain, the Taintlord of Photoshop who is responsible for a lot of the more impressive banners you see floating around.
As to your quote, that's Adam Savage.

I made my own sig too, even though I might replace it with a prettier, more garish one.
Tobias2006-01-07 17:07:20
Okay. I shall then search the Internet for something that can help me make one for myself, or ask someone else.
Doh! That's who that guy is. Thanks!

Thanks for reminding me - I am going to get started on my backlog of sigs now that the general christmas/nye garbage is over and done with.

I make my own. This one I completed a few months ago. I did a new render of her face with better textures. The background and text was done with photoshop.

I like yours; just out of curiosity, what program did you use?
EDIT: Never mind, since you answered in another thread.

This was my original signature:
I took it down because I thought it was too plain and such. I made it using The Gimp. Its just some simple cropping or whatever its called. I ended up doing that since I had no idea what I was doing and got frustrated.

While on this subject, if any Glomdorings need a signature banner, let me know. I have this neat charcoal drawing of a crow I did a few weeks ago, and its kind of just sitting around in my sketchbook. I'm sure I could scan it in and do some photoshop to make a pretty nifty sig.
Shryke2006-01-07 21:16:12
wanna do that for me?
I'm not payin credits or anything, but if you wanna show off your work I'de be glad to use it (assuming it was nice)

Just my personal opinion but I like your old sig alot, amongst others because I think it's a great signature for a member of Glomdoring... it has nothing fancy to it, it has the gloom and eerie, just the outline of a gnarled wicked tree sprawled over the picture like a web with the silouette of a crow sitting at the border. That's true Glomdoring style. (or in other words, +fav)
Your current one, well, it's nice and the quote is ok and all but it's certainly not going to catch and hold my eye like your old one.
Unknown2006-01-07 22:09:44
Fain made this one for me ages ago, back when Glomdoring ruled. 'Tis Serenwilde burning down.
Unknown2006-01-07 22:11:08
yeah, back in the good old days when Murphy was still the Celestines archivist.

Also, the exact quote is "I reject your reality and substitute my own."
Mythbusters
I want that on a shirt, which I know they have. I saw him wearing one

::beams:: Thanks! I like to rotate my quotes regularly. If I'm reading the boards while watching Adult Swim and I hear something funny, more than likely it'll become my new quote of the day. Well, untill I think of something that goes along with the banner. Oh, and about the banner, I guess I just like to keep up with the Jones' and I wanted a fancy one. I'm very happy you like the banner though! That makes two of us
Shikari2006-01-08 08:33:52
The secrets of the Shikari sig - it's a screen cap from the film Zatoichi (the modern 'Blind Swordsman' version with Takeshi Kitano playing Zatoichi), with a few level tweaks in Photoshop, and a little editing.
The other signatures I use mostly use photographs I have taken myself.

Sif we didn't know that already (well I did). I have watched that Zatoichi about a billion times already.
Aiakon2006-01-08 10:02:41
I love that film.
