Dreamer's Folly
What is a dream...
But an illusion.
An internally promoted...
Self delusion.
If you dream of the future
And what may or may not be,
You're not living in reality.
The folly of dreams
Is that they can't be caught,
Only dreamt
Which diverts precious thought,
From self reflection.
For those who dare to inwardly gaze,
For what cannot be found without,
True peace can be attained
No more need to scream and shout.
But if mental efforts,
Are squandered in vainest ways,
The soul contorts,
And die the weeks and days.
When self reflection is absent,
Then death is far as you will go,
The mind is squandered and spent,
The soul is left shriveled
and black as a crow.
So is the dreamer's folly,
Who never looks inside,
When you look down on his grave,
Lying dead with his dreams,
Know that the dirt is as far as he goes,
It is where he dies.
What is a dream...
But an illusion.
An internally promoted...
Self delusion.
If you dream of the future
And what may or may not be,
You're not living in reality.
The folly of dreams
Is that they can't be caught,
Only dreamt
Which diverts precious thought,
From self reflection.
For those who dare to inwardly gaze,
For what cannot be found without,
True peace can be attained
No more need to scream and shout.
But if mental efforts,

And die the weeks and days.
