I was wondering how we're supposed to cite our sources for information that we take IC. There are some things we can roleplay researching and so on, but really.. for most subjects that don't deal with the histories there is going to be some need of an outside source. Sooo I have a few questions..

Do we need to cite them at all here or elsewhere?

Is getting information OOCly even allowed (as long as it isn't just blatant plagerism)?

I'll probably think of more questions tomorrow.. right now I feel like my head is going to fall off and I'm being spammed out of my mind..

I think your questions are a little confusing. Are you talking about citing other player's works, or Lusternia's histories, or works totally outside of Lusternia?

There's nothing wrong with getting information OOC, depending on what it is. If it's something your character would have no way of knowing and you're writing something in game, it wouldn't really make sense to use stuff you found out OOC, but for bardics and stuff you can.

Yeah, I'm not going to try splitting any atoms anytime soon.. And I've been trying to roleplay Joli doing research on the topic.. I've been having some nice talks with Marina about healing, but I'm trying to get most of this stuff correct so I'm doing a bit of research and adding some Lusternia bits to it.

It's taking a long long time.

Don't cite things from outside the lusternia universe.

I feel crappy for not citing things, but I know perfectly well that I can't do that IC.. Ah well..

I blame my 11th grade English teacher.. oh gods.. the citations she made us do. Even the other teachers said that she was making us do them in blood.
