Inter-Organizational RP

I haven't been able to play much lately and when I do, I tend to stay within the forest's limits. But is there any inter-organizational RP other than I hate you! or I'll kill you type RP?

When first started playing this game seriously, I figured that there was going to be a lot of conflict and I played around with the idea of having a character that had some type of relation with a few people in other, opposing orgs.

For example:

-A Seren warrior who respects a Glom warrior and vise versa. On the battlefield Seren and Glom show each other no mercy (As the Glomdoring Warrior is supposed to do, anyway wink.gif), but any other times they respect each other.

-A Celestian girl who falls for a Glom/Mag girl/guy. They say one thing when in public, but are secretly madly in love with each other.

-A Serenwilde Couple whose children left for both Celest and Magnagora. Lots of family feuding here!

-Ok, I'm out of ideas.

On a large scale there is mostly hostility between organisations, but many individuals or small groups do have interactions with the other cities/communes.

Oh, that would be fun.

-A Celestian girl who falls for a Glom/Mag girl.  They say one thing when in public, but are secretly madly in love with each other.

Ask around, you may hear of a tale that is almost like this and how it in the end turned out.

-A Serenwilde Couple whose children left for both Celest and Magnagora. Lots of family feuding here!

Lakia - Glomdoring, Allia - Serenwilde, Azreal - Serenwilde, Vaeruhn - Rogue, Dakine - Serenwilde very antitolerant towards the Taint. Its not easy to deal with, but certainly doable.

-Ok, I'm out of ideas.

I actually think that you'll find a number of these on both sides. Not to the point where they hang out with each other, but respecting? Yep.

1 and 3 sound like the crasiness of a family that I have now: I sware I'm now related to every nation except Deepnight somehow (ok, even there if you think of it in a certain way). It's a fun mess.

And if things go the way I hope they aren't going to go, I'll be seeing #2 as well.

On a grand scale: Each nation hates each other. On an individual "stories you havn't heard" scale, it's a soap opera.

Maybe I'm just ignorant or naive or unlucky or something, but... it doesn't seem like I've encountered a lot of role-playing. People romping around the Pool of Stars, the occasional husband/wife duo hanging out, but that's all I've really seen in the way of... inter-personal (much less inter-organizational) role-play.

I'm not saying it isn't there, 'cause I know it is, just that I've not seen it. And I want to. Anyway... yeah. Ahem.

And here I thought my Scandal in Celest was actually getting noticed. Well, I suppose it doesn't matter; I certainly enjoyed it; I just hope others did as well.

Nah, its around. Just start RPing and other players will notice and join in. People usually tell me this. I need to start doing that as well.

Don't worry. I'm seriously out the loop when it comes to matters outside of Glomdoring. I'm very nosy, so if you want to tell me I'll all ears. smile.gif

Firstly, Celest is the one nation I havn't been to (well, Cwin and Jacquin has went there on occasion, but that's it). I don't even know what the Pool of Stars or the plane of Celestia looks like, nevermind what you crasy people do in either.

Meanwhile, ALOT of the RP in here is 'under the table': hidden in the clans, tells, and manses of those individual groups. As such, until you get involved with it, you'll never see it.

For example, do you REALY think that the nation you're in isn't going through politics the like to make the US look honest and pure? If so, you havn't seen a censor.gif thing.
thillieir2006-01-24 14:40:31
As much as I'd love to talk about it on the forums, I don't think that'd be appropriate. Keep the IC and the OOC seperate, you know? I'm just saying there's plenty going on in New Celest, and if one spends enough time there and doesn't ignore what one shouldn't, that person will find it.
Murphy2006-01-24 15:05:28
there have been a few warriors i hang out iwth from the other side.

I go bashing with certain warriorsa from celest/serenwilde on occaision even rune their weapons and get other stuff from them.

It just goes unseen, ahh the beauty of a gem of cloaking

Yeah.. keep the OOC out of the IC. But why keep the IC out of the OOC? And Murphy.. please change your signature, it distresses me.
Murphy2006-01-24 15:10:59
it's designed to.

Its actually how i picture murphy to like like with the bone helm of the urlach, its a full face mask/helmet you know. Kind of looks like that but there's no hair.

See it in your dreams you will
thillieir2006-01-24 16:48:55
Because some people will take the IC from the OOC and make it IC even though the IC has now become OOC. I have enough IC grief as it is, and I think Murphy's signature is cute.

I've only been to Celest once. My character really wanted to see the Pools once. And I've never ever been to Serenwilde - I've never even had an alt go there.

Also, I need to be in more clans! All mine are secret, silent or guild related.
Verithrax2006-01-25 03:30:09
There are several clans and organizations that take people from several organizations: The Mirh Barosi, the Eliz Tirita, the Urynmal, the Mysterial Assemblage, the Walkers, and Deepnight. The first two are for people who, for some reason, want to bring back Gaudiguch or Hallifax; the next two are Elcyrion's and Lacostian's pre-order clans; the last ones are a secret society of pacifists, and Richter's own city. They're all great places to meet people from other orgs that won't want to skewer you, and all put together, they probably have something around 50-70 players (VERY rough estimate, considering that they overlap a lot and I'm not in all of them.) In my opinion, there's quite a bit of inter-organizational RP going on.
