An interesting change.
Magistrate Catarin.
Gosh.
Magistrate Catarin.
Gosh.
Unknown2006-02-02 12:02:31
What did they do? Change government styles?
Shiri2006-02-02 12:07:05
Yea.
I like Magistrate better than Duchess.

Perhaps Catarin likes the new title as well or perhaps she is testing out her new city privs, who knows.
Kaervas2006-02-02 12:29:18
They have the same ruling style as Magnagora now, Daevos' title would be Magistrate if we only had 1 village as well. We were also the Sovereign Republic of Magnagora once, it changed our cityranks and city leader title. And I just made an alt to check, Celest has the same cityranks as us too
Shiri2006-02-02 12:32:02
It seems to change at 1 village, 3 villages, and 5 villages.
Valarien2006-02-02 12:43:20
Same ruling style as Magnagora...
Now THAT'S funny
Now THAT'S funny

From 10.3.2 GOVERNING STYLE AND POLITICS
NOTE: The above styles and political structures have nothing whatsoever
to do with 'alignment' (good, evil otherwise) and should not be taken
into account by city or commune leaders as limiting their selections. For
instance, it is perfectly reasonable for a city of light and goodness to
choose a despotic style of leadership when there is a crisis and the city
needs extra power or commodities (the city leader may feel that it is
time for all citizens to make a "sacrifice for the good of the state").
Likewise, it is perfectly reasonable for a city of darkness and death to
choose a benign style of leadership in order to maintain control of its
territories (the leader may feel that it is important to keep villages
under its sphere of control as long as possible and therefore the city
must "keep them happy" and rule benignly to "protect their own").
Im really curious what titles we would have as: Commercial.
You say, "I wonder what titles we would ahev as commercial."
Grand Crusader Catarin Peulus, the Holy Shield says, "I'm curious as well."
You smile impishly and say, "Lets chage again."
You say, "Change."
Catarin gives a trillingly melodic laugh.

HAHAHAHAHA no.
Xavius2006-02-02 13:00:42
Which, of course, leaves one question...
Province of what?
Province of what?
Kaervas2006-02-02 13:01:02
Since I'm assuming cities get the same ranks depending on their governing style, Catarin would be the "Premier" and the cityranks were things like "Burgher", "Alderman", "Gentleman", "Commoner", can't remember the rest though.

Could be fun.
Malicia2006-02-02 13:54:22
Celest has the same ruling style of all the other orgs, currently. The villagers will produce less comms, power, but will be happier and remain with their city/commune longer.
Valarien2006-02-02 13:59:30
:: Demands that everybody switches to "Despotic" immediately, to facilitate more rebellions and more random inlfuencing/fighting/killingthecrapoutofeachother fun ::
Hurrah
Hurrah
Malicia2006-02-02 14:08:31
That'd probably be more fun, but the ruling council of Celest had a good reason for the switch.
I hate Malicia's new city title. Lady is much more classy. It's Mistress now.

Goddamn isn't.
Marquis is an exquisite title.
Acrune2006-02-02 15:17:36
n. pl. mar·quis·es (-kw-sz) or mar·quis (mär-kz) or mar·quess·es (-kw-sz)
A nobleman ranking below a duke and above an earl or a count.
Used as a title for such a nobleman.
honors Vesar
Vesar, Water Magi (Male Imperial Merian).
He sits on the Star Council of Celest as a Count.
Muhahaha.
I still say that Earl is a cooler name. Both are beaten by Baron.
