What races is it possible to reach the speed cap for a 2h weapon on? How fast of a katana do I have to get? I am an orclach ebonguard.

I doubt you're gonna hit the speed cap as an orclach, I have a sword that gets up to 290 speed and I haven't felt the ceiling yet... 275 is the cap for faelings who have a level 3 speed bonus, anyone know the cap for aslaran? You could sorta guess the cap for orclach with that (not that you would EVER get a sword that fast..)

Cap is 2 seconds. Diamante says he went below 2 seconds.

266 speed for normal balance should give you 3 seconds.
366 speed - 2 seconds for normal balance. <-not possible to get.

I as human with 280 speed rapiers hit for around 2.8 sec.

Hitting at under 2 seconds is easy.

Not since the new weapon changes where speed had a big dropoff after about 240 or somthing

Speed did get nerfed a little bit ago, weapons are not as powerful as they used to be, and they're right, you're not going to hit the cap like that. I'd suggest going aslaran, faeling, or changeling, and pumping your weapons up as much as you can. Fast weapons, forging runes, nightkiss (the trans night skill) are great together, and with your racial speed, you can become even better. Hey, you could go for the champ position if you got good enough.

Yeah. Eric told me the fastest he's been able to get was maybe 1.8 seconds, and that was with great rapiers.

I'll rephrase: For those of us who have 311 speed rapiers, hitting at under 2 seconds is easy.

Ok gonna say this again for emphasis...

Eric (that is me) AKA Lyco has never EVER broken 2 seconds. Even with 290 speed rapiers and the Champ helm I just hit 2 seconds.
