When your city/commune wins a village in influencing, all citizens of that city/commune should be automatically unenemied to that village, because obviously, somebody you're loyal too isn't your enemy. It sickens me when enemies can slay you repeatedly in your own village without repercussion. And having to spend 50K is overkill.

You still conglutinate though, don't you?

Plus, you can get unenemied any time.
Unknown2006-02-12 06:03:35
Why not have it cost less to be unenemied to villages that are loyal to your org, or while your org controls said village, it doesn't count as enemy territory, though once you lose it, it still counts.
Stangmar2006-02-12 06:06:26
Yeah, perhaps an Amnesty that lasts as long as the city controls the village? Nothing wrong with that.
Verithrax2006-02-12 06:09:31
It should cost less, but not be free. Becoming loyal to your org doesn't make the villagers instantly forget what you've done to them, you horrible, horrible murderous person.

Ok, let's look at this realistically.

If the United States forms a diplomatic agreement with the UK, do all American criminals in the UK get amnesty?

No. Thank you, goodbye.

Nars is right.
Asarnil2006-02-12 13:43:33
I hate to admit it, but I agree with Narsrim too. A reduced rate I could see working, but not for free.

Though take for example the recent situation with the Guatanemo Bay. The US imprisoned a bunch of people they decided were working for the other side, and Britain due to their political status with the US forced them to give their citizens to them, where ALL of them were cleared of all charges - while the Australian guy sitting there by himself has been kept on those same charges for four years because of the lack of political clout and the Aussie politicians being lazy.

Or you could, ya know, not kill sentients in the first place cooldance.gif
Asarnil2006-02-12 18:11:40
Isn't only sentients that are loyal to orgs Acrune - you should know that without being facetious.

Not quite as cut and dry as that.

What if the United States and UK had been at war. Finally, they have a ceasefire, and they form a diplomatic agreement with the UK. Do American and English citizens get amnesty when they visit each other's countries?

Yes

A village belongs to a civilisation at war with yours. They are loyal to your enemies. You kill them as a result. Eventually, their loyalty swings to you.. does it make sense that they would continue to be enemies of all your citizens?

No

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Taking real life situations and applying them to a fictional fantasy-themed computer game really doesn't work.
