Okay. I saw a post saying something about matching mental voices to characters in the game. I had alot of fun reading it, and so I thought about something else.

When you picture a civilization, what theme music comes to mind? I'll give my examples:

Serenwilde: The Lord of the Dance (Irish folk song. I personaly love it! biggrin.gif )

Celest: My Immortal (I forgot how to spell the singer's name... but you get my drift)

Glomdoring: Back in Black by AC/DC (It's a classic. If you don't know it, you should curl up in a log and rot)

Magnagora: Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap also by AC/DC (Another classic, and one of my favourate songs)

What do you all think?

Ohh come on! No one!

Serenwilde: Some of Jethro Tull's folkier songs, like Songs from the Wood or Witches Promise. Stairway to Heaven.
Celest: Dunno. Something holy-ish and solemn. Or, at the Pool, 60's porn movie music. Maybe Tull's Fallen on Hard Times?
Glomdoring: Where Your Eyes Don't Go, TMBG's scariest song. And Beastie, by Jethro Tull.
Magnagora: Something very military-sounding.

Heh.

Sticking to my love of Tori Amos...

Serenwilde: Cornflake Girl - This song holds a lot of power to me, but also some confusion and misdirection, which seems fitting at the moment.

Celest: 1000 Oceans - very mournful and moving. I still see Celest as picking up the pieces after Old Celest collapsed and this song fits that to me.

Glomdoring: Raspberry Swirl - It's sort of dance, a little crazy and very much angsty.

Magnagora: Pancake - About power and how it can be abused.

Not really sure...

Serenwilde might fit with "The World" (.hack//sign) actually it tends to suit the entire game
Celest i agree slightly with "My Immortal" (Evanescence)
Dunno about the others

Serenwilde: Lothlorien(spelling??) From LOTR.
Celest: Open your Mind from Ah! Megumi Sama! or Ah! My Goddess
Glomdoring: Suspicion from Dot.Hack//Liminality. or Echoes from Dot.Hack
Magnagora: Something from Star Wars...and stuff.

Magnagora - "Step Up" by Drowning Pool

Celest - "Land Of Confusion" Originally by Genesis, covered by Disturbed

Glomdoring - "Thoughtless" Originally by Korn, covered by Evanesence

Serenwilde - "Out Of My Way" by Seether
Verithrax2006-02-13 01:36:23
Magnagora would obviously have the Imperial theme from Star Wars, particularly Daevos.
Unknown2006-02-13 03:46:38
Magnagora: The Imperial March happy.gif

Celest: Master of Puppets!

Serenwilde: Lumberjack Song!... Monty Python ATTACK!

Glomdoring: Girl Anachronism by The Dresden Dolls

((ACTUALLY, I do picture most of the girls fromn the night Coven and Munsia as the "Girl Anachronism"... girls are just plain wierd..))

Glomdoring : Nothing Else Matters - By Metalica

I thought that one would be obvious.

I just got to thinking of the Imperial march for Mag. It's on my MP4 player. happy.gif

QUOTE

Artist: Metallica
Song: Nothing Else Matters

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
and nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us, something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they say
never cared for games they play
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
and I know

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters

Daganev provided the lyrics already. Here's the link with the actual music (mid format for small size, which unfortunately means that it has no vocal, only the basic theme).

Ahhh... Okay... But still, the Irish Folk song is pimp, next to The Imperial March... and then Evenescence, then AC/DC.
Daganev2006-02-13 20:45:50
Cuber, thats the wrong link and is NOT nothing else matters. *peer*

But that song is SO glomdoring.
Unknown2006-02-13 20:50:15
Gotcha.

And this is for Serenwilde.
Unknown2006-02-13 20:52:15

GO THE HEDGEHOG SONG!

Ahh i love Discworld books. In the MUD if you were a witch and sung this(there was a command) you would get carried off by the guards in certain places
