As you know, it is not uncommon for someone to remember the wrong name
after freshly stepping out of the Portal of the Fate. However, once a
person re-establishes him or herself within life in Lusternia for a
period of time, it is extraordinarily rare to discover that the name he
or she remembers is wrong.
However, such an extraordinarily rare occurrence has happened. Let it be
known that the Fates have discovered, for reasons too arcane to
understand, that the one known as Cooper has been laboring under wrong
name since stepping out of the Portal of Fate.
His true name is Armand.
Penned by My hand on the 25th of Avechary, in the year 140 CE.

I'm a little jealous, of course, as Shorlen was not the name I wanted for this character - the name I had actually wanted was taken two hours before I created him, and the character has since been deleted for inactivity (someone with no skills who never logged in after creation). But such is life

Reverse happens with Sylphas, I think...but he's pretty glad about it, he gets a meatshield.
