Is their a way that I can call up a function every 10 seconds or so. Like if I wanted to check for a certain varible every ten seconds.

Since you didn't specify a client, I'll assume zMUD.

I put Mushclient under topic description, no one reads that.

Create a timer that fires every 10 seconds and make it call the function.
