BIG question: Are you SURE you were actually winning the debate points? Many of the messages that sound like 'wins' are actually Draws. Wins are VERY painful to the defender.
Also note that, overtime, the attacks become more painful, thus early wins aren't as important as later wins.
A pure defender still has some advantage, but NOWHERE as bad as before: you can still take them out.

No, Jelaludin is right. In fact, the higher your charisma, the better off you are to just not do anything. If someone has like +4-5 more charisma than you, 9/10 they will kill themselves.

I think debating really needs fixed. How can someone who doesn't say anything win a debate? It just makes no sense. It shouldn't be possible to just do nothing except change mindsets and "out debate" someone.

I think, unless Communes are given something to raise their Ego regeneration(Perhaps a ego-regenning Fae), that Laetitia should be made slower during village influences. Currently it's every four seconds. In influence, I think it could be halved in speed and still be an absolute advantage for cities. Less so, but still a very nice advantage.

There is no charisma difference anymore between Seren Faeling, High Elfen/Glom Shadowfaeling/Celest Imperial Merian. (Believe me, I'm annoyed its not a uniqueness I can claim for the race anymore.)
However, chanting completely unbalances debates against the communes. You need to hit a city person with chanters in a one shot kill, while commune debaters you can pick off by choosing a moment when their ego is weak.
Change chanting so that for yourself it takes mana, for others it takes ego.
