Yeah...how much investment would it take to wander the aetherways? Even as pirate-bait?

It seems like 350k for a fulcrux, then 150k for a second room so that you can eventually expand your ship without your pilot seat in the fulcrux (who wants to enter directly onto the bridge?), then actually buying the command seat. Expensive, but not completely impossible. That's ~125 credits for the two rooms at 4000 each. I don't know how much the chair itself is, but I think it's around another 100,000?

Depending on what you bash and how well you do it, you can get it done eventually, and once you've got it, you can keep expanding the ship with new parts whenever you want.

Well, it should be expensive, we don't want everyone to have a manse/ship, do we.
I wonder though how can you make all the gold now with old astral gone.

It's pretty possible to make 20-25k in a couple hours on Prime, depending on what times you're able to log on.
Daganev2006-02-21 05:28:09
I get 6K in one hour just killing gorgogs. And thats with minimal effort on my part.

I'm sure you can do it if it was your only goal.

actually, I think if you bash and play the credit market you can probabbly get the gold even faster.
Richter2006-02-21 07:12:07
Credits, lots of credits.
ferlas2006-02-22 16:49:04
Im 1/3 of the way to it now thats with buying ingame credits for learning and just saving up from bashing. Ive never sold a credit on the market ever before.
Shamarah2006-02-23 23:24:05
You can get around to all the bubbles just fine in a one-room manse because you can just outrun all the monsters.

What the expansions are really for is fighting other people, fighting creatures, siphoning, and raiding. It's up to you to decide whether you want to do any of that.

Hrm credits aren't really a solution right now, aethercraft is causing prices to drop regulary.

However with dedication you can easily afford a ship.

As in, weeks of bashing?

I wouldn't say weeks....you can do it in one if you bash around 8 hours a day... ninja.gif
Richter2006-02-24 00:36:51
Most normal people don't play Lusternia for eight hours a day.

8.5 hours -work
1.5 hours - driving
6 hours - sleeping

And... oh, hey, I guess that does leave 8 hours.
Ashteru2006-02-24 00:52:47
That was sarcasm, actually...-.-

This is not always true.

As a casual player, logging on for maybe a couple of hours a day, and dividing my time between role-play, combat and bashing, I'm barely earning enough to cover day to day expenses. At the current rate of saving, I would expect to be able to afford a 1 room manse in approximately 2-3 more years (real life).

Credits is the only way that I can forsee ever being able to buy a ship.

I hear you there, anyone who seriously devotes time to their guild/commune and roleplays has a problem getting out to hunt enough to cover the expense of things decaying.

I have to keep telling myself "go out, hunt, you need gold, you need potions/enchantments/new clothing"
ferlas2006-02-24 09:19:08
It only takes about half an hour to get near 10k with gorgogs and stuff, if your lucky you can get near 10k just for aslaran and krokani.

Dosnt a mansce cost like 200,000 or something near that? You could get a 200,000 gold with frugal spending in a real life month just hunting for an hour or two a week, And I quite like hunting anyway relaxing while waiting for novices or other interesting people to show up.

Too right. I've only been bashing once in the last couple of years.. and it was a disaster. My income comes from my shop.
Rhysus2006-02-24 17:28:29
Blackjack FTW. Who needs bashing?

I only have luck with the Mag guy, Celest's one always makes me broke.

And while for you credits may be easier, at this time they are not going to help you like you want them too. If they implenent that city buying credits stuff It will be a lot better though many already voiced objections to that.

And I used to make 30k in 2 hours, but I got a lot less dedicated and made a novice alt to try a different RP.

Well maybe with credits you could like trans a prof, and try making big money there (several people succeeded in that yes?) but then it's a risky thing.

Depends on who you are really some people are better at the hunting stuff others do really well with all the shop care and selling stuff. I dont think I could personaly make a shop profitable no head for prices or figures doh.gif, but then there are some amazing merchanty people out there raking it in.
