Being from Imperian and all I finally decided to check out Lusternia, and have to say that I really like the player-base here. I was hoping to make a character slightly similar to one from Imp, but can't really find one, there I was a Wardancer(swords, and shield combat) and a Taekyon(monk with telepathy and fighting)

I can see that there is nothing near to Taekyon here and was hoping to find a class here that was most like the Wardancer, basically specializing in all out weapons, not sure which one of the warrior guilds might be best so I was hoping to ask you all here.

All warrior guilds here have a single weapon skill, knighthood; their other skills are ritualistic or totemic, or they can choose to be hunters. We've been getting lots of these threads lately, maybe we could make a single "Hello, I'm new' thread and pin it?

The following list contains all you need to know about Lusternia:
1. Don't snuggle Arix.
2. Don't judge people based on what city or commune they are from.
3. Trader Bob is the spawn of Kethuru and you should get your potions from other people.
4. Scholars and pilgrims are a reliable source of income and karma, as are the supplicants.
5. Don't poke Arix.
6.Don't poke Munsia, or refer to her as a cow, unless you have a deathwish, or can run really fast.
7.Verithrax is a reliable sources of clothing, greatrobes, and mostly intelligent conversation.
8.Don't bother Arix, unless you are starving, you need booze, or you know a dirty joke, limerick, or haiku that I haven't heard yet.
9.Trill kick ass. And now we can PREEN
10.Fluffy kittens are evil. Evil, I tells ya.

Well, all warriors get to pick between 4 different weapon specializations...

Blademaster - which is two 1-handed swords.
Bonecrusher - which is two 1-handed bludgeoning weapons.
Pureblade - which is using 2-handed swords.
Axelord - which is using 2-handed axes.

Then each guild gets a different choice in terms of their 3rd skill. All the warrior guilds have the choice to take Hunting, which turns into Tracking, which gives you a dog companion and allows you to set up traps. The other choices are...

Ur'guard can take Necromancy, which does things like give them a bit more armor at the cost of a constant health drain, allows them to turn into ghosts to move, allows them to curse their opponents causing them to take more damage, and allows them to avoid death itself.

Paladins can take Sacraments, which allows them to ressurect people, increase their regeneration, call down all sorts of nifty holy things on their opponents, and completely heal themselves.

Serenguard can choose between Moon and Stag. Moon is what is known as a "Coven" skill, which uses various dances to invoke different abilities. You can, with the help of a group, raise the dead and do lots of things. Solo, you can also heal yourself, aeon others, and bring down the aura of the moon, which gives you an eq-based attack and resistances to damage, as well as greater strength on your weapons. Stag has things that alter your balance/equilibrium recovery, increase your movement speed, and heal yourself in the midst of combat.

Ebonguard can choose between Night and Crow. Night is similar to Moon in that it is a "coven" skill. You can gain protection against damage, get the equilibrium-based attack, stop people from flying, aeon entire rooms, and drain people of mana. Crow deals a lot with flight and giving you advantages while doing it. You can attack from the sky, or drag people up with you. You can also deal various afflictions and gain the means to avoid certain afflictions.

Perhaps consider taking a different path and considering being a mage and choosing psionics, if you like the whole telepathy idea. Look at the help files for psionics, telepathy, and telekinesis. I personally enjoy using telekinesis.

See those two links in my sig? They contain a large part of what you need to know. Oh, and Arix is right, I am a reliable source of clothing, great robes, and intelligent conversation. Prices and quality depends on how well you behave and how smart you are. wink.gif
