I don't know if anyone has brought this up before..but how about an artifact that gives a person a pair of wings that allows them to fly but also prevents them from being blown laterally etc by the wind.
I know we already have the Brooch of the Tempest, so maybe we could combine it into this.

They should definitely be two different artifacts.

But a flight artifact doesn't exist here, while they do exist in Achaea, i'm wondering if there's a reason? Maybe due to the fact that various guilds get the ability to fly as a perk?

Well, I do think that it is because of the guilds.

Both the Wiccan and Guardian archetypes get their own versions, then you have the faelings and Trill on top of that.

Off top guilds alone 270 of 821 people should be able to fly (or atleast will) then when you add in the faelings and trill in other guilds...

Well as they said in The Incredibles () "When everybody is super no one will be" If everyone can fly around after paying credits any possible advantage that the ability gives could be lost

All Blacktalon can also fly.

As well as a portion of Ebonguard.

I dunno, only certain guilds got to fly on Achaea as well. Druids, Sylvans, Sentinels, Magi, and maybe a couple others.

@Shiri I think it was only the ones you mentioned plus anyone who was willing to have one stat lower than a human for the ability to fly

Atavian is a race, like trill/faeling.

Why not a flying artifact not many people would buy it and there are already plenty of ways to stop flying so it wouldn't be like it was overpowered or anything just a handy little tool for anyone who cant fly yet.

because thats the point. Not everyone can fly, just like not everyone can stop fliers.

If you want to use that arguement then perhaps it's time for burrowing/diving/climbing(clinging) artifacts? Not agressive or anything, just annoyed with this suggestion, unlike most artefacts i can remember this would essentially give a racial/guild advantage to everyone unlike jewellry runes which improve your natural abilities.

Yes please, flying would be nice to chase retards who link 1000000 astral spawns and fly around.

Everyone can stop flyers, there are enchantments for it, the difference between a flying artifact and a flying mount would be you dont have to be mounted on the mount to fly. It means you can fly like a faeling.

Its a harmless little artifact really, why not have it put in, everyone likes new things, lusternia likes people buying credits to buy artifacts. Everyone wins, whats the problem?

And we all want artifact patches to make our great robes better too! Vote patches.
