So i've pretty much ironed most of the bugs out of my curing system, while its not perfect it does pretty damn well.
If i were to make it a lot easier to customise like with pipes, and a lot more friendly towards all classes, i'm wondering if there would be interest for a price of around 50 credits.
Included are potionlist scripts, awesome parry and stances (2 modes) nice interface, good wounds curing and mana sipping, prioritised cures and planty of support from the Murph whenever anyone needed it.
Opinions? comments? I'm about 1 week or so off finishing all the little things that i've been meaning to do.

nope its zmud
Anisu2006-03-03 12:56:56
He I'd just buy it just to take a look at woundcuring and parry/stancing.
mimi should get zmud , I even modified Thorgal's system for mushclient once but I soon start to miss zmud's mapping

You already know I'm interested Murph - will send you a carton of Coopers Pale Ale (real beer - not that VB shit you losers drink up there).

My own system for zMUD, which you may or may not have seen in my other thread, is easily customizable and includes wound curing, parrying, and stancing. Right now, it assumes the same stance every time, as I haven't gotten the framework for selecting regions based on your skill level in the Combat skill quite worked out yet.
I'm no greatly known combatant, so I understand peoples' desire to buy a system from someone like Murphy. My main reference would be my work on the Achaea Curing Project. I know you all love his insane echo messages. His code is quite haphazard, though, from what I've seen of the system. Heh. Good luck with it, kids. Overpowered weapons and a penchant for violence should be no replacement for some solid logic.

hey now don't be nasty Zarguan, i'll have you know i'm stil very dangeous with unartied weapons, the only people i'd have problems killing without my arties are Narsrim Amaru Diamante Daevos and maybe a couple of others because post nerf weapons are underpowered.
Without any arties at all and just the stats on my hammers i have now, i have no doubt i'd still be able to kill the same people with a similiair level of difficulty, it'd just take me a bit longer.
Parry and stancing are a very big part of combat, especially against knights it is vital you get it right, because if you have crap parry and stancing, you can pretty much guarantee the warrior, if he's any good is going to nail you to a tree and leave you there.
No offence, because I love what zarguan has done with ACP and whatnot, but to make a lusternian system you have to be a good combatant, especially to make a good knight system. Even thorgal's parry and stance were easily enough picked if you knew the person was using it.
EDIT: And in defence of my coding, If it's stupid and it works, it isn't stupid. It serves its function pretty damn well in my opinion, especially in the more recent versions this week

I hope you fixed your astrology and aeon curing then, or that it's not indicative of the rest of the curing, that was horrendous about two weeks ago.
Vix2006-03-05 02:59:39
If I had money I'd buy it just to see the echo messages.

THat's what i've been working on you goose.
I also have a tendency to spam attacks before the balance to take advantage of latency, so i screw myself on aeon curing there.
But no, aeon curing != whole system
Ixion2006-03-05 04:09:41
I reccommend Murphy's system. All in all it's a great deal for 50cr.
I use a hybrid of systems as my own, but I've used his full system and it's pretty solid.

If its HALF as complicated as the new ACP is then I very much doubt how easily its customisable for the average person.

Astrologys tricky though, you just have to kind of guess and run a few tests like get hit by a certain ray assume it gives aeon try to drink something to see if its anorexia if it isnt then it must be the third affliction. It was a headache for me to get it working properly

I am still trying to push myself to work on astrology...it's just so damn annoying. :/
Anisu2006-03-05 13:16:35
Like Ixion said, it's only 50 credits, I don't plan on using it like I'll buy it from him (unless I really like it) but will probably use parts of it and incorporate it with parts of Thorgal, Geb and my in design systems.

Oi I said id practically give you a walk through on the best way to cure it if you wanted.
Laysus2006-03-05 22:57:22
My standard method for dealing with Astrology is diagnose, with a few extra bits for the nasties like aeon
ferlas2006-03-05 23:03:57
Pish to slow that would mean i'd actualy have to think about something instead of just macro bashing
Laysus2006-03-05 23:06:30
Don't need to think. System does it for me. Neh
Having to think about things was curing succumb manually when we fought in that freeforall. That was a right pain

I've done a bit of testing with astrology, I find the best way to check for the ray that can give either aeon or anorexia (I think i've got it written down somewhere) is to try and eat something, that will tell you if you've got aeon or anorexia (I like to use EAT VIAL since you always have on in your inventory)
