Ok some of you already know as to why I'm selling my manse and clan and also the real reason I dropped my aide positions in Celest. I'm starting to get bored with Lusternia, the people I used to RP with are either near dormant or are online at completely different times, hunting gets really boring after a while and I never really wanted to be active in pvp (I want to seriously downsize my PvP and PvE). Making other friends in Celest would require a serious personality change for Anisu but I'm not to sure how to bring that on without using the same sort of excuse I did for changing Anisu from pacifist to combatant (which was the Kethuru event, loss of Isune and loss of Viravain).
I wondered about making a new char but Anisu has the trans skills and I don't want to invest in another char so I already ruled that out.

log off for three days, and don't read any forums or anything for three days.. I dare you! Then log back in and see what you want to do.

As long as he's out of my hair, everything's good.
I dunno, do something freakish and interesting. Or write a book.

Three days does nothing Daganev, believe me. You need to spend at least a week away, though I in a way understand the boring part youre going through Anisu.
Go play another game for about a week, dont check forums as Daganev suggested. If youre a hopeless adict to Lust' like most of us here create an alt, you dont have to give the alt bought cred's just fight through the repative part. Work through guild and city a bit. When you feel semi satisfied that way come back to Anisu and see what needs to be done and where you want to go.
Just a suggestion or two, none need to be followed of course.

I did that not to long ago, went to play SWG without even thinking of Lusternia, but it's mainly Anisu's RP that put me stuck in this boring position. She made a lot of enemies (some even hate me on an OOC degree, which saddens me) both out and in Celest and fun RP is at this moment non existant for me. I was thinking of joining Terentia's orders, but it has all these good fighters and well liked people so I don't think I would fit in there. Anyway this change in Anisu will be up or under, if it fails I'll probably give up on Lusternia completly.
Daganev2006-03-01 01:45:49
from my experience joining an order is the worst way to bring your RP back up....
but thats just me.

Join another city or commune, how did you feel when you tried Magnagora? Have you considered another guild. Go away for a while. RP with others in other cities/communes.
Just making suggestions to see if you like them.

When I got to this point I just moved to a new place, and made new friends. It's really neat how you can go to somewhere new and if you take the time to get to know someone IC and out it's really cool. I met a lot of cool people in mag that I would of never met if I did nto give them a shot. But my suggestion is to do what you feel is right. If your looking for RP start a family. Already got one? then just start family drama divorce marry his bro or her sis and just cause chaos. -shrug- i probably did not help sorry.

Develop an irrational obsession. Pursue it with a passion.

I guess I am not around much, but I never got the impression you were hated by many. May annoy some people, but heck everyone does. I guess I feel hate is too powerful an emotion to be generated by a game. Therefore, seek out Terentia if that is a desire you have. On a basic level, no one is better than the other is. Also, fighting is truly something that can be easily picked up; which you seem to have a pretty good aptitude for anyhow.
Another idea is that you could just go do something else again for a bit. Play another game, read a nice long book, or take some trips if you have the funds. Lusternia will always be here when you return, and time away may give you a fresh outlook on things. It may rejuvenate your desire to try new avenues of role-playing, getting out there and meeting the new and old people you never really interacted with before.

When I got bored and frustrated, I made a gazillion alts, then found one that I liked to play ( Telira). After a while, I just moved Xavius to Telira's home. The RP excuse started off well-intentioned, but the Celestians were such pricks about it that I just threw Xavius fully into Glomdoring.

I think you should read help seconds. I am not sure, but you perhaps should thank Celest for getting on you before the Divine did.

There is no limit to the number of characters you may create and play in
Lusternia as long as you observe these two rules:
1) only one character at a time in the realms (see HELP MULTIPLAYING)
2) no character may ever help any other character in ANY WAY.
Yep. Seems fine to me.

Staying in the same manse as your alt is helping each other. Do you mean yep what you were doing is ok, or yep what I stated was ok?

Telira never owned a manse.
He meant that he moved Xavius to GLOMDORING.
Xavius2006-03-01 04:11:03
Home as in Glomdoring.
Xavius went inactive.
7 alts came out.
6 alts went inactive, replaced by Telira.

Xavius moved to Glomdoring.
The manse didn't exist until Xavius paired off with Shayle.

When I get bored, I just log off for a month or so, than I come back in, usually enough has changed that something is at least a bit different or at least everything seems less boring.
Geb2006-03-01 04:27:23
Bah, I took home too literally. I took it to mean manse. Ok, ignore my statement.

Here's a question, are all of the loose ends of Anisu's past life sorted out? Have you found out everything about Anisu's past life (pre-Portal)?
If it's not FULLY done out, then you (the player) sould look into it, develop, mentaly, a part of Anisu's past and put in a loose end/closet-skeleton that seems interesting. After that, start incorperating it into Anisu's current life. Note that if it's something radical that it may lead to unexpected results
An example: Anisu finds out, through an old document, that his family was member of an old Great House in Magnagora.
The result, though, drives Anisu into bitter rage and, to hide the truth from himself, he strives to snuff that house into nonexistance at the expense of everything else. Note, that this isn't the typical "The Nation must DIE. PK PK PK!!!!111one" buisness. Instead, any raids would be ONLY at the NPC Nobles themselves. He could start looking for Magnagorans who dislike the current system (There's a few, I'm sure, Player and Denizen alike), or even rival Great House members who could help to discredit the family. Since blindly making a public post saying "THEY SHOULD DIIIEEEE!!!11one" won't work, the attempt could be hidden, where only a few people (and perhaps a few dieties) know of it.
Another example:
A dream has unlocked a past memory in Anisu of a time when he studied under a Aetherplane Scholar. This scholar had a theory that each of the Spheres in Astral is linked to something, like Capricorn is to the Megalith or Cancer to the Pool. Some are linked to the lost cities, while others are linked to aspects currently hidden from our eyes, perhaps even to higher planes, or another world altogether.
As such, you begin to live your life as normal, but find yourself heading to Astral more and more..feeling the Pool's link with Astral from Celestia. Eventually, you seek out other scholars (the mountain ones that is) and look through the Library for anyone who may also have an interest in the ways of Astral, eventually leading you to risk permanent insanity to discover the truth.
Or something like that. Take a hidden part of your past, turn it into a story, then live the story. If that story leads you to another nation or guild then so be it, but DON'T just change either for the sake of 'change'. Turning from the Celestines to the Geomancers means nothing if you're doing the same thing you did before. Change it up. Pick a new goal. Lusternia is more than it's conflict: Expore it.

I told myself I was quitting for good, gave all my stuff away, and didnt play for 3 or 4 weeks. Then started to read the forums the other day, and now I feel that lust to play lust again even though I quit because I was unbelievably bored with it. Do it!
