I have a couple of questions about nexus, and how it works. I do not want to be told anything about zmud or anything like that. I'm not interested in downloading and installing any new clients. Thank you.
1. What exactly does the archiving thing do?
2. What is the purpose of the send command?
Thank you in advance.

You deserve to be shot.

Archiving is so you can save backup copies of your reflex system in case it dies.
Send means that it won't active any aliases you have. Say you have aliased "sleep" to "smoke $pipewithcoltsfoot." Then you'll never be able to get to sleep. So what you do is set "sleep" to do "smoke $pipewithcoltsfoot >> #send sleep" so the second sleep doesn't put you into an infinite loop.

so archiving saves all of your current reflexes and stuff?

Yea, in theory anyway.

If you have more than one saved it tends to revert back to the first one
