Congrats to all who won the IRE poster contest. Those are definitely some really cool places that the pictures were posted at.

I had one question though. Where are the people?!?



Anyway, this is what Visaas and I sent in. We went for the coolest place we could find with the most people - Times Square.

Congrats to the winners (and especially fellow lusternians Saran and Marius!), I just wish I'd had a better idea what the judges were looking for.

I was also wondering where the people were at....

However, being that you chose times' square you should have picked something better than a random lightpost.. like maybe that new statue they built of the sailor kissing the random girl.

I just assumed they didn't get any good lots of people pics.

The logic might be that, on the back of a fireman, or at places where you would find tourists, people will see them just because you got there when people weren't around (which is probably better to avoid trouble with) doesn't mean not many people would see it?

I'm dissappointed. If I'd not been lazy, I could have totally had a chance, with my two ideas. Alas, I'm terribly lazy.

yeah I'm beating myself. Thinking the contest didn't end till the first, I actually called the signmaker shop a couple days before the 21st getting a price quote on a sandwhich board.

I was totally going to go downtown Reno under the Biggest Little City in the World sign wearing little else then my Iron Realms sandwhich board...bah!

This might be a stupid quest, but are the top winners pictures posted somewhere? I've looked on the Lusternia website and the IRE website and havn't seen anything.

My picture is embarassingly stupid. I'll post it cause I said I would, but honestly, I don't even know what I was thinking when I sent it in! Except that time was running out and I wanted to send at least one in.


The 'extra information' I wrote to go with the picture is pretty lame too.

And I thought we had to make our own posters for the contest, not just print out the one they gave us.

I was going to try it, but then i realised i live in Alabama and the onyl thing worht putting it on would be something at the space and rocket center, and thats not really that great. Congrats though. you lucky punks that live in intresting places
