Lower the level of focus mind. Please. So newbies can unlock themselves more easily, and so that you don't have to go so deep into one skill just to combat anyone with hexes or a random affliction ability properly.

(And yes, I have focus mind.)
Saran2006-03-11 03:09:26
Umn?

I don't have it and yes it is annoying when your locked down, but For a full hex lock don't you need like near trans skills to do it. trans if you want to allhex?
Unknown2006-03-11 03:13:03
hes talking about fighting AGAINST hexes, not USING hexes.

Yes please?
Yrael2006-03-11 03:15:38
I am trans hexes, and I can do it with four power and roughly five seconds, by drawing the four hexes then doublewhammying them. You can be locked by people with random affliction abilities, although that's rarer. It'd just be nice if it was moved down so better curing wasn't so far out of reach.

I was pointing out that to my knowledge locking someone with hexes generally requires a higher level of hexes than focus mind is in discipline.

Unless your not including anorexia for some strange reason, which is what 50% or so of mythical? (Also I'm healer not hexen)

No, keep focus mind where it is. It makes things a LOT easier. Get rid of hex locks.

How, exactly?
Acrune2006-03-11 04:01:07
Couldn't answer that, know nothing about the skillset. Its just very wrong to have something where you are guarenteed the kill against everyone who can't focus mind.
Yrael2006-03-11 04:03:18
Most combatants do. Why would you be fighting someone without it, unless they were a higher level and might than you and for some reason were a few lessons off?
Anyway. Leave hexes, lower focus mind to gifted or something. Easier curing for everyone, and you don't have to invest a massive whack of lessons that could go into a tradeskill or something profitable.

Wait focus mind works off balance right? off balance healing of a full lock
Shorlen2006-03-11 04:37:45
Runes and hexes can both do a simple lock with little skill. Impatience + paralyse. Unless they have focusmind or a LIT pipe, they're screwed.

Focusmind needs to be lowered a bit sad.gif It's an uberpowerful skill, but it's the ONLY way to cure so many things.

Remember, you can't use Green or Gedbuliajsdflkj or Full or faesummon Maiden or benediction or any other affliction healing skill while paralysed. Focus mind is the only way out of that lock if you don't have a lit pipe.

Anyway, isn't Lusternia one of the only places that doesn't have a herb cure for paralysis?
Sylphas2006-03-11 09:34:02
Only one, yes.

Also, if you're going to forget discipline to get some lessons, be sure you choose it again right away, or you're in for a world of hurt when you realize you don't even have focus BODY, let alone mind.

And, or course, artie pipes ftw. smile.gif

ferlas2006-03-11 16:56:37
I was wrong you were right
Stangmar2006-03-11 17:46:44
Yes, PLEAAAAAAASE move it down. It's like at Virt or Fabled and i won't have enough lessons ever to get it. pray.gif
ferlas2006-03-11 17:57:28
fabled stangmar, I see nothing wrong with lowering it though, *shrug* Go for it
Unknown2006-03-11 18:02:58
It's been envoyed.
silimaur2006-03-11 18:18:32
