When you type WHO with thirdeye up, do people with Aethersight see you do it as if you're scrying them?

No... why would they?

That would be incredibly spammy... When Aethersight first came out and people were constantly scrying Narsrim to annoy him, he had a cute little trigger to spam the person back. One of his spam tells said something like "Ever heard of using thirdeye?"

Actually, why can you see everyone's location on who just by having thirdeye? Shouldn't this effect be removed?

Isn't that most of the point of having thirdeye? Seeing shrouded, and being able to get everyones location?

Ixion has a trigger to tell you, "Thank you for scrying" when you trip his aethersight.

Needless to say, I gagged it.

The other scrying methods allow you to see people off plane with sufficient planar training... so... ?

I didn't spend all those lessons getting thirdeye just so someone could make it useless. Keep it the way it is and don't with it

It would remove a lot of the point of a Gem of Cloaking. I mean, you'd still see if they're on the plane with qw, but you can see that anyways with HELP GUILDNAME if they've done ANY guildwork at all.

Since when is ability to see shrouded people useless?

But what about us poor non-astrologer communepeople? Know how hard it is finding a living enchanter? It's the poor man's scry.

what I meant to say is, thirdeye is fine how it is, being able to see shrouded people and tell where people are on WHO. So leave it alone. Also, I like my signature, it's very nearly what Arix would look like if he were a South Park character

You don't. The Gem hides you from WHO, QW, and the rest.

That was the point of my post. You don't see them with qw if they have a gem, but you can still see them with HELP GUILDNAME, which kind of cancels out that part of the gem's use.

No, becose you only will be know that they are on your plane. If you want to know exac location you need to scry and if someone haev trans discernment he will be know about your scry. Its whole purpose of it. You can see when someone is looking for you. And get out of pleace where you shouldnt be. Not to mention that scry cost eq and you can do it as often as you would like.

I... don't think that you quite get the purpose of my post. I was responding to the suggestion that thirdeye not give the location of someone when you do WHO. My response was that it would nullify much of the purpose of said gem, because then the gem would hide you from others seeing if you are on the plane (since you wouldn't see room names with thirdeye anyways)... but with HELP GUILDNAME you'd *still* see if they're on the plane even if they have a gem.

I wasn't even talking about scry, or aethersight. I was specifically responding to the suggestion that thirdeye not show room names.
