Well this is just me wanting some opinons. I may change later or I may not depends, but for now i just want some good info, and reasons behinde your choices. And please lets stay on topic
Unknown2006-03-18 02:48:54
PLease at least explaine your reasoning. Kinda hard to figure out why I should consider something is I have no reasons for it to be based on

Telekinetic mugwump.

Forcefield + level 3 eq + 15 int staffcast. Insane bashing.
Torak2006-03-18 02:52:11
Mugwump weavers are absolutely insane, I think they are the best combination by far. Passive blackout + falling asleep combined with poison gas makes chasm pretty sexy, not to mention damage kills are alot easier.
Xavius2006-03-18 02:58:16
I'd prefer furry telekinetic. A little slower bashing, but higher ego means more perks from psionics. It's not really a speed sacrifice, either. They're still fast. In addition, the cold resist will help you going toe to toe with Aquamancers.

Just remember that Aiakon will hate your guts. happy.gif
Shryke2006-03-18 04:58:05
I agree with Xavius, I voted Furrikin telekenetic
Ashteru2006-03-18 10:19:11
Voted Faeling Telekinetic here, because insane sip+insane ego = tanky mofo

Dreamweaver geos are an insanely powerful combination (rather ridiculous IMO) as it's stupefyingly easy to pull off chasm by combining active and passive blackout.
Ashteru2006-03-18 11:38:25
Active blackout seems a bit hard since...you know...you can't do anything while using chasm.. mellow.gif

You use it before the chasm so it masks the first message, and you time it so that embedded blackout masks the second.
Kharvik2006-03-18 13:08:51
I said dreamweaving mugwump. Having been one I can truly testify for how insanely overpowered it is. You can embed motes that keep people falling asleep, blacked out, or off balance from daydreams (it's also really easy to strip someone of all their defs using motes). All the while you can deepseleep them until they keep falling asleep and hunger does its thing. Now they're passing out from sleep AND hunger AND taking mass damage from demesne AND blacking out. Screw chasm, you can just staff them to death at this point, especially with your level 3 eq staff.
Murphy2006-03-18 13:22:40
I reccomend an Aslaran Runist or a mugwump runist.

As a mugwump you can sling or doublesling, AND get 3 illusions in between balances.

Aslaran are a bit tankier, and you can load someone up with more affliction runes due to balance but you can also get say 2 illusions in between rune slings, which the slings are faster.

Never underestimated a GOOD illusioninst they can really screw people up.
ferlas2006-03-18 14:34:37
Aside the blackout motes for chasm and deepsleep, dreamweavers don't seem to have much going for them for geomancers, after seeing the chasm and blackout tatic once or twice you arnt going to fall for it again. Telekinetics just seem to have far more options than dreamweavers, and they arn't as limited to working inside their demence as dreamweavers are. tekelinetics seem to have more versitile, useful and less cheap tongue.gif tatics and combos avaliable to them.

Yes, I would wait till the envoys come through and see what happens for runes. Right now Murphy's suggestion is not that great since runes lead no where affliction wise. After the envoys, Runic Mages may gain more of a goal to shoot for and then illusions + runes will be something nasty to deal with.
Forren2006-03-18 18:16:47
Why telekinesis over telepathy?
ferlas2006-03-18 18:22:00
Daggers and blood vessels mainly are very useful.
Unknown2006-03-18 18:38:44
All right I think i am going to take Telekinesis if I switch, but my other big thing is what race. Faeling looks like the one most suited high int and charisma, but furrikins do have some nice advantages as do mugwumps. I have ruled humans out
ferlas2006-03-18 18:44:47
Faeling has better int and better charisman than furrikin which are the most important to you, furrikin have 2 more constitution than faelings but then the faelings have the sip balance which kind of compensates abd balancces. Furrikin do have some nice resistences though.

Its a choice between stats or resistance.

+2 int +1 charasima, vs level 3 magic, level 1 cold and roll.

Yeah i know I am just having problems because I am thinking about leaving my safe spot as a warrior and pulling a 180. Never been a mage in Lusternia so I have no iead how it will be as in skills and such. Only fought them.
