I noticed that I cannot see my cameo for some reason, when I look at me. I'm not sure which thing is making it disappear, but I noticed it was the same with my helm, if I'm wearing a crown over it.
Naturally, if I wear a crown over a helm (provided it actually would fit this way!), I could still see the helm. And whatever is making my cameo disappear probably shouldn't be. Now, something like my armlet, I could see that not being seen, because it's under my armour.
You are wielding Urlach's Fury in your left hand and Orlachmar's Wrath in your right
hand.
You are holding:
a tower shield of twilight blue steel, 6 amethyst vials, an opal vial, 6 coral vials,
6 beryl vials, 8 sapphire vials, a jade vial, 7 bloodstone vials, 2 slate grey books,
a diamond-tipped darksteel lance, 5 garnet vials, 2 serpentine pipes, 5 emerald vials
, an arcane grimoire, a rune-covered pipe, a painting of the Gardens of Endless Love,
a painting of amongst carved trees, an aether room box, a platinum crown of thorns, 4
pine doors, 2 elegant white letters, Tetra, the elemental scourge, a golden
paintbrush.
You are wearing:
a changeling cameo, a silver wedding band, 2 set of air elemental prayer beads, a
twinkling ebony great helm, a frosted silver armlet, a fesix backpack, a suit of
midnight blue renegade full plate armour, a crown of ascension, a powerplex jewel.
He is an ordinary human changeling and about six feet tall. Tanned, clawed hands poke
out from his plate armour, worn from battle and time. He wears his hair long, the
blackness shimmering down to his chin, moving as if it possessed a mind of its own.
His slender frame is toned to near perfection, and a sense of confidence radiates out
from him. He is wearing a silver wedding band, a set of air elemental prayer beads, a
set of fire elemental prayer beads, a fesix backpack, a suit of midnight blue
renegade full plate armour, a crown of ascension, and a powerplex jewel.
Can the layer problems be fixed? Are there any other known problems with layers?

If I'm not mistaken, I think full plate might cover the neck, maybe; it is supposed to cover all the body except for the head, after all, and ancient armour did have neck guards.
This isn't a bug; it's a design flaw in the way Lusternia handles clothing layers, I think. It automatically assumes you can't see clothing or jewelry underneath another worn item, regardless of what the worn items are; so, if you wear a crown on top of your helm, people don't see it. It's the same thing that makes it so that wearing a sheer dress still won't let people look at your lingerie.

Oh, I know it's not a bug. I understand exactly what it is, and am suggesting that it be changed so that you can see helms even with crowns on, and am trying to figure out what's blocking the cameo.
Verithrax2006-03-19 09:56:00
I agree it should be changed. Getting sheer dresses that are actually see-through (And force people to buy lingerie with them!) would be nice, too.

Hehe I thought plate was see through as well, you cant wear underwear or people will see it throught the plate?

Yeah I would say there is more than one design flaw....like this one:
You are wielding a nature talisman in your left hand.
You are holding:
2 beryl vials, 2 pearl vials, a simple oaken pipe, a soot-blackened tinderbox,
4 turquoise vials.
You are wearing:
4 friendship ring of pure jades, a bright little dress of autumn leaves, a red
and black lace bra, a pair of black velvet shoes, a bright red belt sash, a
black cape, a pair of black silk stockings, a tattered, multi-coloured pack, a
pair of fingerless black gloves, an intricate black mask, a pair of red and
black lace panties.
She is a fierce dracnari and bright orange eyes gaze out from her deep-ridged
eyebrows. Having no hair, an exposed fringe of thick scales starts at her
forehead and ends at the back of her neck. Glistening green scales line the
entirety of her body, larger at her shoulders and down her back, smaller along
her fingers and toes. Claws grow to a fine point, some yellow from exposure to
the elements. Her scales are especially bright about her face, leaving shadow
only in the recesses of her ridged brow. Her height is resonable, her muscles
well-toned, and her expressions varried and often warm. She is wearing a
friendship ring of pure jade, a delicate platinum knot work ring, a moonstone
and garnet ring, a light blue coral ring, a bright little dress of autumn
leaves, a pair of black velvet shoes, a bright red belt sash, a black cape, a
pair of fingerless black gloves, and an intricate black mask.
And here is another one for layers:
-remove stockings
You find it difficult to take off a pair of black silk stockings while wearing
a bright little dress of autumn leaves.

The removeing footwear before socks makes sense, but if you are wearing a dress and no shoes, should you not be able to remove your stockings? Should we bug all these?

You also can't even see the stocking if you're wearing a short skirt and shoes. Which just makes no sense what-so-ever. And if you wear a garter-belt, you can't see panties. Its frustrating sometimes, for people who really do want to put detail into their outfits.
Unknown2006-03-20 00:49:49
OK...I know this is picky...but if you wear say, a white top and a black bra, the bra should also be visible. But that's just my opinion.
ferlas2006-03-20 00:51:27
Why on earth would you want it to be visable.
Hazar2006-03-20 00:53:38
For seducing novice aides?
Unknown2006-03-20 19:27:38
I don't know. I'm just saying if people or going to complain about layering, that's my two cents.
Richter2006-03-20 21:38:59
The item grouping thing is a known bug, I'm sure it's on someone's to-do list.
And the black/white issue would be neat, but it would require too much coding. What if it was a thick white shirt and a dull black bra? You couldn't see it then...
I just think there are some common sense things about layers that need to be looked at. Those are probably on a to-do list as well (I think Estarra mentioned layers in a recent post).

Hehe not if its well-made with a built-in undersuit
And I think the problem with the ring-stacking when you check your own inventory is rather aggrivating, but it's still minor at best. At least they all show up properly with the II command and when other people examine you, so it's probably pretty far down on that aforementioned to-do list...
