Back to Common Grounds.

If there ever gonna happen:

I figured out a way to get thoose tyoe if thing to work.
When a new org is about to open 1/3 of the org who awoken/ unfroze/ un-whatevered it, voluteers to cross over to the new org. The 1/3 amount gets to go over for 0 lesson loss. They 1/3 are alowed to return to their original org for the same 0 lesson loss for a limited time. They can cross over and back only once with 0 lesson loss and within a limited amount of time. The org also voluteers to siphon 1/3 of thier monthly power into the new org's nexus. In return the new org supports the voluteer org for a while. When the new org announces its independence or when it passes 20000 power, it automatically forfeits the 1/3 monthly power and the volunteer org looses its support.

What do you think? unsure.gif

Also to keep the balace two orgs would have to be realesed very close to one another.

A tainted one and a untainted

And most probably a forest and a city

Once more with grammar and spellcheck please. Not sure I follow. smile.gif

Or how about the fact that there are no more tainted orgs, and the one other forest org isnt really tied into any of the other possible orgs?
Anisu2006-03-20 00:23:47
Hehe I thought Ackleberry was accually closer to the light then the others.

Always thought
Ackleberry - light
Serenwilde - neutral
Glomdoring - tainted

Ofcourse that wouldn't work anymore since glomdoring is now Wyrded and their godess hates fain wub.gif

So the ever wise words apply i guess, wait and see

The current system goes:
Ackleberry: Snugglebunny
Serenwilde: Light
Glomdoring: Scumbags

Psh. Serens are scumbags. They repress their pacifists, kill fae freely, harbor a pair of methodical novice killers, and subject minors to indecent exposure.

If any other organization was so above what you posted, I don't feel you or anyone else would find the need to try and illustrate it on a forum.

Furthermore, I don't like any idea that forces a new organization to have a big brother or big sister. I also sincerely hope that we have some new and interesting conflict other than taint. I mean, Hallifax was all social based with an emphasis on what's better for the society and G-something was all into independence and self enlightenment and junk, right?

I just want to point out that before the taint, all 3 forests would be like sisters and stuff, trying to force the cities to become all leafy.
Narsrim2006-03-20 01:42:22
An interesting note, pre-Hallifax screw up to taint Glomdoring, Glomdoring and Serenwilde were far closer from what I can tell than either was to Ackleberry. Mother Moon at one point leaves the side of Mother Night and returns to her home in Ethereal Serenwilde.

However, Ackleberry definately has nothing to do with the Light. I really don't see how anyone got that idea other than the fact they worship Sister Lake... which has nothing to do with Aquamancers.

I get the impression that Ackleberry was closer to the cities than either of the other two communes were. Certainly no evidence of light-worshipping though.

I think the Spirits could give a good idea of what the ethos of each commune is like:

Glomdoring - Night (shroud) and Crow (fear) - Hidden manipulations and domination.

Serenwilde - Moon (magic) and Stag (fleetness) - Mysticism and isolation.

Ackleberry - Bear (strength) and Lake (health) - Steadfastness? Physical prowess?
Saran2006-03-20 02:07:09
The main problem is that we already have vague ideas of what the places should be like and so just like when glomdoring was released, the views could cause similar problems. (Though an insane goddess didn't help, but i still believe it was her own special way of getting the message across)

Wasn't ackelberry all about the Sun? *scratch*

While what Archer2 says would probably make it a bit easier for the new org in terms of mechanics and not getting razed into the ground initially like Glomdoring, I agree with the rest that it'd make things much less interesting. You'd automatically tie the new org to an old org, which means they'd automatically be positioned on the same old light or taint axis, which I REALLY would rather we finally get away from.

It was an early myth, but Auseklis dispelled it within a couple months.

hmm... well thanks for the -general- feed back. I see now, it would be quite irritating for the whole big brother/sister thing.
-But- I still think you should have 0 lesson loss if a new one comes out, atleast for a month IG.
