Mask disfigure, or remove the message all together, or even delay it for a few seconds so that they don't just sip love, wasting a 3 second eq.

This is where strategy comes into it. You need to hinder the target then use disloyalty.
Yrael2006-03-22 00:36:27
Dear lord, who would have guessed? And point me to what stops smile, as love is easy enough to spam. I've even got a macro for it.

Obviously Yrael, it would depend on maybe keeping them asleep/anorexic/aeoned/etc.
If you want masked and a delay, it would need at the least a 2-4p cost.
Yrael2006-03-22 00:42:32
Masked or a delay. Power cost would do if it did one or the other.
Unknown2006-03-22 00:44:17
Is that really necessary? We really need power for many other things. Isn't it better to be able to throw disfigure at any appropriate moment?
Yrael2006-03-22 00:45:37
At an inappropriate moment, you're usually doing other things. If you're keeping them hindered, you aren't draining them, or smearing them with wounds.
Unknown2006-03-22 02:10:49
Would making it a delayed cure help? Seems that charismatic aura might be marginally worthwhile if disloyalty was more of a problem.
Shamarah2006-03-22 02:24:36
CharismaticSmile takes balance, for the record.
Torak2006-03-22 02:30:53
I don't like the idea of it being invisible or delayed at all. I'd say leave it how it is currently, it is still possible to stick just takes alot of practice to know when.
Daganev2006-03-22 02:33:13

How odd... Yes I know its only .5 seconds, but that should be plenty of time for a computer to retarget.
The effect has always had a "delay", it's not to do with retargetting I'm pretty sure.
Shouldn't disfigure have a delay cure, if it has a delay to be activated?
I believe the first self afflicted attack happens at 21:31:35 but I'll go doublecheck.

I wouldn't mind upgrades like that, but not in exchange for a powercost.

Ooh, for once I remembered a minor fact correctly..
Other times in the log you can see torak hitting narsrim with disfigure, and torak getting hit by ents before narsrim heals the disfigure.
Xavius2006-03-22 03:08:43
EDIT: I'm wrong, nevermind.
ferlas2006-03-22 09:21:14
Disloyality takes a few seconds to kick in if you heal it before then then nothing happens at all. If you heal it after it takes effect you need to order the ents passive and attack again which dosnt cost equi.
Sylphas2006-03-22 18:41:14
People actually use disloyalty? I've never ever had a problem with it here.
ferlas2006-03-22 19:07:09
Disloyality is very effective if used correctly Sylphas
Daganev2006-03-22 19:13:54
What other afflictions take a while to kick in yet have an instant cure?
Xenthos2006-03-22 19:16:36
The gasping and blacking out when a blademaster is piercing your chest to smithereens? That definitely takes time to happen, and if you cure immediately it never will.
Just off the top of my head, I'm sure that there are others.

Daganev2006-03-22 19:26:27
Is that like burstorgans which can turn into an instantkill if it doesn't get cured?
Because I think those are a seperate catagory if it is.
I just think disfigure should either hit you immedeialty(read on your ents next attack) or have a delayed cure.
