Dark Nest

Having watched a few recent raids on the Ethereal Glomdoring, I think there is a discrepancy between the two communes.

The feather object which you can enter to travel to the Dark Nest should be shifted from the trees to the ground. This means that to travel from one area to the other requires passing through guards, just as in the Ethereal Serenwilde. It is a very minor change, and shouldn't really cause any problems. I've also heard that because the entrance is in the trees, we cannot place guards inside... but I'm not in a position to verify that.

I wasn't sure if this was something I should pass on to the envoys in game, so I'm suggesting it here.

Pretty sure you can put guards there now.

You can -not- put guards in the hart/crow aspect areas.

Edit:OOH! my 1000th posting!!

Erm, I have before. Has something changed in the last couple of weeks or so?

I ment you can't order them in there, if they are following you(summoned at the prime nexus) you can lead them in.

Also the rooms arn't technically next to each other, or within calling distance, so it really isn't safe to put in anything but the elementals you placed in there.
Shiri2006-03-28 13:12:24
If you summon them at the Ethereal Nexus they follow you too. huh.gif So yes you can put guards in both.

FYI: All you have to do is have a Wiccan summon guards in Ethereal Glomdoring and then flow to a person in the nest. Guards follow from home (not villages) to home.

Glomdoring USED to have locusts and guards in the Dark Nest. I don't see why they were able to be creative and get them in there before but not now. The real reason is likely because they don't have the people to totem the nest up like they once did and as a result, said guards would be easy pickings.

EDIT:

In fact, you could just summon guards (anyone), climb up, enter feather. They will follow you in city/commune.

My superiors have assured me what you said is impossible.

When we discussed it earlier, it was said those strategies definitely didn't work.
Shiri2006-03-28 14:17:38
unsure.gif Well it worked for me just the other day when I was replacing some guards in Etherwilde. I don't see why it wouldn't work for you.

I've gotten guards stuck up in the trees accidentally before, so it's possible.

Now that would be good, guards perma stationed in the trees.

Glomdoring formerly had locusts and guards in the Nest. I know because I killed most of them. kthxbai.

How do you kill an infused locust?
Shiri2006-03-28 15:13:05
They wouldn't have been infused, I assume.

Well that's just stupid then, considering how weak elementals are.

Edit:I remember some Seren left a non-infused elemental in dairuchi awhile back, by some miracle it survived a few months till another infused it though.
Sylphas2006-03-28 17:56:28
Didn't Glomdoring used to have like 10 Locusts per room for some stupid reason a while back?

Unless it was some odd bug or they weren't infused, no. You can only infuse one elemental per room.

Your superiors are wrong. I remember placing greater locusts at each of the Aspects.. it can be done

It is not a bug. You dont have to infuse elementals. You can place them like regualr guards it worked for a minute becuase you had multiple webbing but then they got wiser...

And yes, we can bring guards there (they now do follow when you summon them and climb into the trees, but you can't order them in unless they're already following you. So they need to be freshly summoned). The main discrepancy that I see is that Hart's entrance *can be protected by a totem on both ends*, while the Nest can't (the entrance in the Ravenwood's branches is not on ground level). Also, anyone following someone who enters the Nest ends up in the trees, so they won't be touched by a guard or totem.
