Well, I have a Wand of Fire (raises firewalls at every non-walled exit, only works outdoors) from the auctions earlier. I bought it because I figured I would eventually find a use for it, and it would come in handy somehow. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

I really can't think of any situation in which it helps, and so I'm planning on trading it in (at half the value I bought it for ). Before I do though, I thought I'd ask if anyone else can come up with a reason for keeping it.

Any ideas? Or should I trade and be done with it?

Firewalls mean no icewalls which means even if a wiccan curses you you just run off as a toad back home.

Hmm it would be quite useful to a warrior being able to shut down the icewalls of a wiccan as they kind of rely on them for combat but im not sure if it would be as useful for a druid.

If you go through firewalls as a toad I believe you still take damage. It would be like a free stomp, I imagine. Assuming its forest, you could achieve a better result by using briars.

Biar walls would be more useful, it would be definalty very useful for a warrior though. Yea I cant see much use for a druid.

The point of firewalls is to stop icewalls from being formed. Of course, we lovely wiccans can nature rain to get rid of firewalls (one at a time)

I think telekinesis also has a damage attack that requires the target to be on fire. Dunno. Pyre or something.

Do toads burn though?

I'm almost certain they do not. Other effects like an active demesne, etc. don't hit them.

Toads get a free ride, almost nothing put physical walls effect them (so the necessity of mass icewall enchantments), and they get completely cured when cursed. I can't imagine a more fun instakill with more liabilities.

*Ponder* A firewall and icewall cancel each other out... think of the fun you could have with both wands.

So, since I can just briar wall to keep an exit clear... any other possible uses?

I can't see any.

You can actually stack them if you use the firewalls and then forestcast briars demesne.

Pyre's a pretty weak skill, though.

The only use I can think of for a Wand of Fire is the same one Nars' proposed: use it when fighting a Wiccan to avoid being hemmed in if toadcursed, since it takes a hell of a long time to remove the firewalls.

Or Elryn could just save it for like 3 years till the cities come out, abandon all his RP in the Serenwilde and become a firelizard, and hope the wand compliments his skills as a mage there.

I only firewall to piss people off. I'd love to have one of those wands though.

You can run over a village influence or raid and firewall lots of exits to annoy people, running through the trees to avoid getting burned.
