Okay. I created a character that is a Mugwump Aquamancer. I love it. High Int. makes Blast pretty good, and the Level 3 Equilibrium regain is awesome! But, there's one problem. The low constitution and the pretty bad drawbacks. Is there anyone out there that could point me in a direction where there's a good Hunter and good Fighter? I would like a good mix of Constitution, Intellegence, and Dexterity. Thanks!

With the eqi bonus you can shield very fast, you can against a lot of monsters shield let them hit or destroy it then hit them and shield again before they hit you, Dont forget as a mage you have reflections as well.

Heck ya, 2 mages can pretty much go up against anything, one constantly reflecting the other who is attacking.

That's true.

solo bashing dracnari could be fun if you can handle the sip penalty...

Or go lucidian, good con and resistances aren't bad unless it's blunt. Nice mage race actually, 14 int and 15 con.

if you plan on getting credits, Faeling Telekinet with knowledge and beauty blessings sounds good for bashing.
Shamarah2006-04-02 14:03:32
Lucidian is the only race that fits your description; I'm not sure how much the lower int will affect hunting, though.

Dracnari seems a fairly solid race, but the dexterity is atrocious and sip penalty's can be a killer. I'd say faeling telekinetic, as it's a rairly rare combo, but looks like it could be quite impressive. (Especially when - or if - you hit Demigod.) Or you could try aslaran: base 14 int, 16 dex, and 12 con, as well as a level one equilibrium bonus. But you would be missing out on their primary bonus, which is their balance.
Ashteru2006-04-02 15:46:57
Take Airees...he's level ~77 or so and has 4.5k ego as a faeling, without blessing. Add the sipbonus and all and he is set.

With 14 int you'll need both a knowledge blessing AND a war blessing to be almost on the same footing as merians (in terms of hunting damage). Not sure if this only applies to Aquas... I think before the staves became cold-based only a knowledge blessing was needed.
Ashteru2006-04-02 16:50:00
though lucidians have 5 more con, so they can afford to take a little longer when bashing. tongue.gif

Lucidians have 14 con...

I went after Murphys comment...not my fault he's wrong! ninja.gif
Which is still nearly one and a half times as much as the merian would have. tongue.gif

Truthfully, Mugwump should work pretty good for an Aquamancer. I'm the second highest level in my guild (the first being a demigod who got her levels in the Celestines) and one of the better fighters, and I'm a merian. And I hear mugwumps are better then merians. The low health is a little rough at first, but you get used to it. I'd stick with it for a while longer before changing races.

Getting an extra con point isn't hard. Boosting Food! Maybe thats what Murph meant.
Unknown2006-04-02 20:19:54
Hmmm... I should stock up on that food...

If you get to a high level, go human. They're like lucidian, only better. Potentially, they can get 16 int and 14 con, and remember this is with an experience bonus and no disadvantages.

I supose so...
