ADVANTAGES:
o Have a racial language, Dracnari.
o Are resistant to fire, level 3.
o Are resistant to poison, level 1
o Are resistant to psychic damage, level 3.
o Can breathe fire upon reaching level 50.
o Replenish strength and cure afflictions while basking in the sun on
sand (desert or beach).

o Regenerate health and mana while in volcanic environments, Level 2.

DISADVANTAGES:
o Are susceptible to cold, level 3.etc...

Did anyone know that you actually have to use the command BASK to get the healing benefits? It works similar to sleep in my opinion.
I find that this is ridiculous. I know that dracnari also have the volcanic area, but does lusty have any volcanic areas that count at the moment?

Useless.
One fulcrux is volcanic I hear, and that's probably all.
Murphy2006-04-05 16:53:04
i'm pretty sure there are no volcanic, and i've tested bask

you have to be in desert, yes its like sleep and it cures very very very slowly.

I believe a couple of the rooms leading up to Gaudiguch on the highway are volcano.
Unknown2006-04-05 16:55:39
There are currently no volcanic areas anywhere. The only place that MIGHT qualify is the short stretch of road leading to Gaugiguch west of Dairuchi, but that is, of course, the road/path/highway terrain, not volcanic. Theortetically, the Pyromancer's guild from Gaudiguch would have some sort of volcano-building demesne which would make it similar to the other terrain-based racial regeneration areas. Bask is different to sleep in that you aren't unconcious while under it's effects, you don't have to 'wake up' or anything. It randomly and slowly cures afflictions and health (very slowly, and fairly randomly between healing an affliction or healing your health). You do have to use BASK in order for it to start, and only during the day in a beach/desert environment, of which there are the Skarch, and some few places around the Inner Sea. The basking isn't useless, it does prove very useful in some situations, but its nowhere near some other abilities. At the moment, yes, the volcanic regeneration is completely useless. Someday, many generations from now, Gaudiguch might come back, and with it, some volcanos.

Well, if it's anything like the Xoran fire breath on Achaea then it's useful for killing rats. happy.gif

That's really all the use I ever got out of it when I was a Xoran for a while.

Verithrax2006-04-05 17:37:12
I believe bask and fire-breathing are supposed to be mildly useless and are mostly there for RP purposes; this is made clear in the help file about Achaea xorans.

As for racial regen, just wait for Pyromancers; it's obvious their demesne will work with Dracnari regen.

Err...Is viscanti poison breathe useless?

Oddly enough, it is insanely powerful.
Unknown2006-04-05 17:51:54
dots.gif I'm not saying that Fire Breathe should be that powerful, but at least be useful. Are there any persons who have actually been at the reiceving end of it?
Kharvik2006-04-05 17:56:06
I heard Isune's fulcrux was volcanic.. not sure if this is true. Oh yeah, you can also bash with fire breath, I guess that's cool ohmy.gif
Simimi2006-04-05 17:56:09
ONCE, I hit someone with sensitivity, aeon, and paralysis, and then did flame + fire breath and they burned to death, due to not having a frost vial.

Countless times I have firebreathed in the arena and the damage is nil, even for mugwumps, aswell as the flames can be shrugged off with frost or aqua rain or other stuff.

I've been hit with it as a mugwump and as a Dracnari, and...yea...even at level 5 it is nothing to be afraid of.

You have to take other things into account, like how no one else has 14con + 15int, Lucidians come the closest with 14/14. (no i didn't take titan/demigod into account because all races have that available to them) To get both of those stats above average you’re going to have to expect some disadvantages.
Unknown2006-04-05 18:00:59
I still that ( disregarding Bask ) fire-breathe should still be a bit more useful. But hey thats just me.

Well, it sets you on fire which can deal some decent damage if you don't cure it.
