1. When the fae are given honeycakes they jump into our arms. Why was this considered slaving?

2. Why didn't the fae just walk back to faethorn in the first place. They weren't tethered.

3. Why didn't butter just refuse to make honeycakes. She made them for the fae, she knew the fae would like them. She has always known what they were for. Why would we think that a honeycake made by a fae to be given to a fae would be a means of slavery?

If butter makes the cakes knowing what they are for. (She giggles and tells us that the fae love them insinuating that we give them to them) doesn't that make her a slaver as well?

4. Where do the fae the dancer guilds come from and why weren't they considered enslaved as well, when they were following the dancer and in Queen Maeves presence?

5. "The Fae began to stray from Moon and Night alike, returning en masse to the realm they called home,
beckoned by the Song."

I want to know why it seems that we should not have even BOTHERED roleplaying, myself. None of what we did had any effect. We *stopped* enslaving Fae. We even returned the last one brought to us to Faethorn instead of waiting for them to return on their own, using a silvery honeycake. There were *NO FAE BOUND TO NIGHT* at this time. NOT ONE. We were doing what the Fae asked. And now I'm wondering why we roleplayed, instead of saying "OMG get the Fae get power rah we rule !!!"

Because butter and maeve said it was, They apparently were talking the fae away from their rightfull home.

She did eventually because he husdand convincered he it was slavery, but she didnt want to stop cooking, she loved cooking but she disliked that her honeycakes were being used to put fae into slavery.

No idea again.

Im kinda confused about this event to be honest, it seems like it just reset the fae and added in a little quest but aside from that i cant see any big difference yet.
Simimi2006-04-09 21:59:04
Ya I wonder about this too, as Raziela has asked us to bring fae to Her... but we have been all -but- ordered not to, especially by means of honeycake....

Only thing I wondered about was why Seren continued to gather fae after Maeve said it should be stopped...

Butter has always known what the honeycakes were for. She makes them for fae not us. She has always said that the fae love them, and have always hinted that we give them to the fae.

Yea im kinda with xenthos on this one, it seemed to say we did something that we didn't actually do in the events post. Don't get me wrong it was all fun up to the end but at the end im just kinda confused sitting there trying to ask maeve and butter questions but the event had ended so they didnt respond.

Because in Lusternia, roleplaying is a spectator sport, espeically when done by admins.

I also don't really understand.

Perriwinkle takes the honeycomb now...whispering a few words about how his wife is silly, but that seems to be the extent of things.

Perhaps there's a bit left to come? Maybe? unsure.gif

stuff

We, as a player base have shown HUGE restraint thus-far to keep this IC. We have also been told recently by Estarra to try to keep future events IC as well, I would ask everyone to then take any conversation/argument into the game and role play it out in there.

Also, Ialie some of these questions would have been answered by just asking a single moondancer simple questions about the fae.

Butter seemed to say to me that she didnt want the fae to be taken and enslaved by her cooking and that was the entire basis of the arguement at the start.

Thats another thing thats confusing me, she almost broke up with her husband and was in fits of tears because she loved her cooking and wanted to make cakes but didnt want the fae to be enslaved. But now she is back to making them again and periwinkle dosnt seem to bothered.

Im just guessing here that the event may not be over just yet that there may be another bit to finsih it.

Um. No. This isn't an argument. I don't understand the event and I have been here for a lot of it. The event is past and I don't see a problem with discussing it here in an OOC nature. I have questions.

And the event itself was great. We kept this in-character, we roleplayed with it... *we had fun with it*. But I don't get this ending. Not at all. In the future, why should we roleplay and have fun with events, if it has absolutely NO EFFECT ON ANYTHING? Why not just ignore the denizens and keep doing whatever the heck we want? Go for the elite power gain, flex our muscle, tell Maeve to shut up and stay out of our business... it all would have ended the same way anyways. This isn't something we can mention IC, our characters know nothing about roleplay or the lack thereof. But I am having trouble seeing why I bothered now.
ferlas2006-04-09 22:05:24
Yea we should just wait and see what happens theres probally more comming to explain it better.

Shorlen did because it just didn't parse in his mind that she actually MEANT he should stop. Right, enslaving the fae is wrong - he knows this. He's been saying it for ages. The fact that HE has been one of those enslaving them just didn't process. His word of the day was "Preposterous!" when people kept trying to point it out. It wasn't until Butter screamed at him a few times that he finally realized what was being said.

It's like someone telling you that sunlight will kill you. Yeah, right - they're just pulling some stupid little prank.
ferlas2006-04-09 22:08:17
Although I don't see the problem with discussing this to much on an ooc board, we should all be mature enough to not let it effect our ig charaters.
Simimi2006-04-09 22:14:58
I still am all confused about this thing with Celest...now we are being told not to do Raziela's bidding, for fear it would upset "the already fragile ground with Serenwilde". I thought this event was the admins' way giving Celest an out, a chance to pursue a direction other than "Celenwilde'...maybe I am wrong.... but being Simimi and going against the wishes of Her Loving Radiance....damn that is really hard to do, from a roleplay AND from an ooc standpoint...

Ah, see that's a bit different from how this post started out.

I can agree with you there, nothing that was done had any outcome, I feel locked in, everything we've build our RP on in the past just gets ripped apart, and we have to all play our little bit parts in the grand EVENT.

I get this "why did I bother?" feeling
