Subj: Envoy Report Changes

Just before I get to the envoy changes, there has been a change to
divine relations; Orders may now have many bonded Orders, just as they
may have many enemy Orders.

Now then, here are the first changes based on the envoy reports:

- Elementalism Ignite can now be used to burn away briar walls.
- Aquamancy Liquidform's wound healing has been increased on every limb.
- Geomancers with the Burrow ability now have reduced balance time when
burrowing.
- Geomancers' Staves damage has been changed to 50% poison, 25% cutting
and 25% asphyxiation to be more in line with the actual visible effect
of the ability.
- Both Aquamancers and Geomancers will now recover balance faster from
using demesne Travel.
- There was a problem with the "Influence" ability that all demesne
users have, however interestingly enough it was reported by the
Geomancers, but actually it only negatively affected the Aquamancers. Be
sure to thank them, Aquas!
- When removing runes from a runebag using outrb, you no longer have to
put the room name all in lowercase, you can do anything from Gyfu to
gYfU and it will always work.
- Illusions Reality has been made to last for 5 minutes, and two new
possible effects have been added to it.
- When using improved illusions, you will no longer actually see your
own illusion when it fires.
- The balance time for Illusions Dispell is now affected by your skill
in Illusions, the higher you are in the skill the faster you'll recover
balance.
- Illusions Invisibility has been changed to not remove shield,
prismatic and so on when it is woven, though it still cannot be done
under grace.
- Illusions Changeself is now not aggressive at all, so can be done even
under grace.

What was it? This makes the staff far harder to block and as such, I wonder what sort of damage to expect now.

Seeing that Mags main enemies have mostly racial resistance it seems a bit bad. :/

I'm would assume Kaervas suggested it? It is also worth noting that purification blessing from Maiden/Benediction gives poison AND asphyxia resistances... merians thus pull around a level 3 asphyxia resistance.

I like that orders can get more then one ally, it makes more sense.

Subj: Envoy Summit and Report Changes

Though some of the changes we are planning to do due to the Envoy Summit
require more time taken to design exactly how we are going to implement
them, there are the first immediate changes from it:

- Demesnes are now limited to 25 rooms. This is a large change to the
way demesnes are going to be within the game, and we are going to
continue to monitor demesnes in general. We aren't removing current
demesnes over 25 rooms, as experience tells us they'll either die or be
chipped away pretty quickly anyway.
- Summon in both Aquamancy and Geomancy has been removed entirely, as
has the ability to summon Willowisps in Wicca.
- The way size affects writhing has been re-examined, and now has
similar caps (both minimum and maximum) on the effect it can have on the
speed of writhing as tumble does.
- A bug with offensive ego loss in debating has been fixed.
- Influence Divert has been changed to use 50% of the user's ego when
used, and no longer regenerates all of the diverted mobile's ego, but
only a portion of it.

Now some more envoy report changes:

- The ability to strip SixthSense and Constitution has been added to
Psionics AlterAura.
- The Superstratus Psionic channel has been made generally faster to
recover balance.
- On death, ego burnout and forgetting Psionics or its specialisations,
Psionic channels unlocking will no longer use balance on the channels.
- Telekinesis Pyre damage has been changed entirely, and now both the
initial damage and the continuous damage are partially based on current
health of the target.
- Telepathy Mindlink in general should not now be considered an
aggressive action in any way.
- The drains in PsychicVampirism and MindBlast in Telepathy are now both
partially based on the maximum ego of the casting person. This is a de
facto upgrade to Hivemind as well, as that increases maximum ego of its
members.
- Telepathy Dominate can now only be used on the Psionic channel it is
meant to be used on.

Edit: Apparantly so. I'm loving all these changes, especially the Divert change. I can't wait to see how that plays out in the next village influence.

Thank you doubly-so for fixing demenses. I know there will be many angry Mages/Wiccans, but I see this as a huge improvement to the game, and I think I might actually start enjoying it again. wub.gif

Umm, wow. No more willowisp. I can't say I'll miss the way it works, but I'm kinda upset at losing a skill altogether. C'est la vie! It certainly will make things more interesting and entertaining as that was really the only useful thing I could do during raids.

And hooray for the Divert change!!!
