Has anyone seen it? God I love it. I keep listening to the soundtrack over and over again.

The song Defying Gravity was so powerful.

I saw it a few weeks ago in chicago. It was amazing simply amazing.

There were many many descrepancies though. It doesn't follow the book at all.. Not at all that part made me cry.

I will probabaly see it if it ever comes to Joplin (lots of musicals do) If you love musicals...then you have to see Rent. I have seen it 52 times as of Friday. It is lovely!

I very much liked it when I saw it on Broadway (or West End... I can't remember now).

I got the soundtrack a few years ago and was hooked, so badly I went up to Chicago to see it and then saw it again when it came to Cincinnati this year. It has a lot of really amazing songs and I loved just about every part of the show, especially the lighting, costumes, and stage.

Wicked, the musical, is awesome.
The book on the other hand is pretty messed up (I prefered the sequel, up until the end...)
And I got to see the musical twice.

And Ialie, the brother in the book was older than both Nessa and Elfaba (I hate spelling that name, and I think I messed it up, to lazy to check...)

Two things.

One:
I saw it in Chicago as well, and I didn't entirely get it. Sure, it was good, but I didn't get why everyone was raving. Good but not spectacular, I thought.

Two:
Ialie was in Chicago?!? When?!?

Nope Shell was the younger brother. Thought to be the son of the Quadling the mother was sleeping with.

My girlfriend is a theatre teacher (well, student teaching, currently), and she's -hooked- on the soundtrack. It was touring in St. Louis, but we didn't find out until three days beforehand. I wish I could see it, 'cause I've liked every other Broadway musical I've seen. ^.^ If I'm ever -not- broke, then I'm going to try to go to Chicago to see it with her.

You sure? I thought he was the eldest, and that the only reason that he didn't become the head of whereever they werewas because he was male. Oh well. Still was a very wierd book.

Out of curiousity, have you read the sequel?
