Yes, this truly is what the title makes it appear to be; my time as a volunteer administrator of Lusternia sadly had to come to an end. I am not usually one for writing goodbye posts and being dramatic about such things, but in the light of who I am here and the fact that I think it inappropriate to just stand up and leave I am taking the time to scribble a few things down.
I have greatly enjoyed my time in Lusternia, both as a mortal, and even more as an administrator, however, everyone must leave at some time and with my medical clerkships in the future, that unfortunately means that for me, this time is now here. Medicine has been demanding an increasing amount of my time and with my first internship coming up, I need to focus completely on my last remaining exams before starting on the insane workweeks that Medical internships are so famous for here in the Netherlands. As much as I enjoy my time here in Lusternia, the position as a volunteer administrator just leeches up too much time (even if one only does the upkeep) for me to be able to continue playing Elcyrion adequately and I am unwilling to have him lapse into the semi-torpor that so many gods eventually go into, which is why I opted to resign and leave Elcyrion open if any other Ephemeral would be interested in taking his role in future.
I would sincerely like to apologise to all those that I was working with, I am aware I am leaving projects behind that are only partially finished and I am not sure if any of the other gods will have time to finish them, most particularly I apologise to the Hartstone, but I have no doubt that Caedryn will understand. I would also apologise to the members of my order, who I am abandoning so suddenly, I am aware that an order without a god is possibly the most useless thing in a Mud, as I have been in one, so my sincere apologies about this.
To all these other people that have worked and roleplayed with me over the past, I would like to thank everyone for the experience, even those who have gone out of their way to give me a hard time, I hate you, but it's all right! I shall certainly remember the good times in Lusternia with fondness and I hope that there shall be some that shall think of my interaction with them as something worthwhile as well.
My thanks go to those of the administration team that constantly had to put up with my idiocy, whenever I was causing bugs that were crashing quests again and things like that. I am sure Lisaera and Fain were ready to kill me a fair few times and Estarra and Roark still have nightmares about coding the Library system. Speaking of which, I have been mostly responsible for the Library system and contests, so if anyone hates it, blame me. Now that I am leaving though, I am leaving this behind, so please give the rest of the administration team a break if the transition is a bit turbulent.
If anyone still has anything to say, or perhaps tell me just how much they have always hated me and how they are delighted to see me go, feel free to reply here or if you do not wish to speak your thoughts where everyone can hear them, elcyrion@lusternia.com is currently still directed to my mailbox. I believe that with that I have said all that needed saying, which brings me to my final statement; if any of you are ever considering breast implants, do give me a call; the clandestine circuit is very good for my pocket money.
Sincerely,
Elcyrion

I'm sorry to hear you're leaving. It has been nice having you around in Serenwilde. Good luck in your endeavours with work!

I was just thinking about joining your order!
Ah well. Good luck with the Medi-stuff.

Well I will miss you and it will be interesting to see how long everyone stays in the order.
Just wondering if there will be an event or not?
Either way I'm probably going to work on Sanctifying the aetherbubble shrines. hehe

By all accounts, you've been a great God - though Aiakon hasn't had much to do with you...
Anyway, good luck with the internships.

Now, to give this a point, Elcyrion, I know we've had some friction in the past (Well you did mute me!) But I have to hand it to you, you predicted exactly the evil bastard Verithrax would become quite early.

Gods, this thread is about one of our divine leaving and you don't even have the respect to not bicker in it.
Come on lets remember things like Elcyrion blowing up a mountain and the like

I'll send you a private note Elcyrion, but I did enjoy your stuff and RP.
First of all, most of us suspected you were Kidaen, and even if you can't confirm that, if you were, I have to thank you for setting me the player on a straight and narrow path. With your advice I was able to create a minor character that is not so minor anymore. (And if you weren't, thanks to whoever for that).
Secondly, I really appreciate all the work you did. I'm glad you chose to create a god of peace, and you truly made yourself great because you had followers in Magnagora, for instance. I liked the little bits of your character--completely made of wind, the little language titles you gave to your followers, etc.
I also liked the Library system--I think it had some flaws--but overall it's well done. I'm sorry I have yet to contribute, but like yourself, other priorities have been pulling at me. At the very least we have a lot of cool works now.
Good luck with your medical career. And I hope you are a "Happy Bunny" with it.

...I'm going to stop joining Orders... I make you all leave.
I'm rather devastated to hear about this. Your Order is the only thing keeping me coming back to Lusternia at the moment, and you've certainly been the only thing that stopped me from leaving a long time ago. (And I'm sure I've caused you no end of stress!)
I'll miss you!

Athana2006-04-30 14:23:50
Elcyrion, thanks for all the moments you took speaking to Ath about anything at all. You never neglected to give her a "Greetings, little cousin" anytime she'd enter your fulcrux, and that's something I will not forget. Athana's never had much interaction with divine so I really enjoyed the talks we had and I wish that I could have tried harder to supress my raiding frenzy and joined your order. You will be missed...
And good luck with your internship!

Nokraenom2006-04-30 14:34:20
I'm sorry to see you go, and thanks for all the hard work you've put into Lusternia and the library system. I've always enjoyed our interactions together, though Nok was never able to follow you in earnest.
Good luck with the internship!

Shorlen2006-04-30 15:11:52
You were, in my opinion, the best Lusternia Admin, at least as far as I knew. I say this with complete honesty. You will be missed.
Soll2006-04-30 15:35:54
Aww, that's a real shame, Elcyrion. I really enjoyed the little contact Soll had with you, and I will agree with most in saying that you were one of my favourite Divine on an OOC basis. It's certainly sad to hear you're leaving, but good luck with your internship.
Unknown2006-04-30 15:37:15
Sorry to hear I won't get to know you... I will still join your order... Good luck with all of your endeavors, Elcyrion
Hazar2006-04-30 15:45:42
Good luck with the internships. You'll be missed by me, though not my charecter.
And I the library system.
And I the library system.
Shamarah2006-04-30 16:11:21
Aww. Always sad to see our Divine vanish.
Good luck with all that stuff!

Farewell to you, and good luck!
And on a side note, thank you for telling us. Nothing is more frustrating than a divine that just poofs. Thanks for having the courtesy to let us know!

I understand completely why you have to go Elcyrion. Sooner or later I'll probably have to do the same thing (though completely different field ). Good luck with your internships, and even if Everiine never really talked to you, you were the divine he almost felt he could maybe begin to trust .
