This version of the Mafia game revolves around the creation of Glomdoring when DoC was just falling apart, and people from all over the basin were comming to Glomdoring to become a part of it, or just to learn of its strangeness.

The story takes place after Viravain has been influenced by Kethuru, but before the Glomdoring became the Wyrd.

Members of Glomdoring, or Glommies will be the 'innocent' role.

Various factions attempting to Control Glomdoring will be the mafia role.

If you get "killed" during the night, or "Lynched" you are considered to have been kicked out of the Forest.

The goal is to help make sure your faction gains "control" of Glomdoring.

The rules?
1. No quoting the mod. This means, no copying and pasting your PMs from me into your posts.

2. At night, Mother Night will allow only a select few to communicate with those She allows them to communicate with. (you will be told who you are allowed to talk to during night, if anyone) During the Day, Night's influence is removed, and ALL conversation must be made in public.(i.e on this thread)

3. There will be a ostracizing(lynching) when there is a majority vote. Once there is a majority vote, STOP TALKING. There is to be no discussion about the game in the thread in twilight or at night. (I will keep up to date with votecounts and how many it takes to ostracize(lynch) will be posted in the votecounts).

4. Once you are Kicked from the Forest,(ostracized) you are an outsider, and nobody listens to you. i.e. STOP TALKING. Consider yourself dead!

5. You may vote NO OSTRACIZE if you want to move on to the next day without a ostracizing.

6. All votes and unvotes must be bolded or they will not count. Also, you must unvote before voting someone else or your vote will not change. Format should be in the form of vote: Joe and unvote: Joe

7. Do not edit your posts. I consider it cheating and it does affect gameplay. If you make a mistake, too bad.

8. I will place a deadline if there is too much inactivity during the day. If a deadline is hit, the person with the most votes (at least ½ of a majority) will be ostracized, otherwise it will be a no ostracize. If two people have the same number of votes and ½ a majority, the first to have reached the number of votes will be ostracized.

9. You must post at least once every 36 hours during the day portions of the game.

Special rules for this game

11. Only role names will be revealed upon death, not their role description or affiliation.

11. This is a unique aspect of the game. During the First Night, you may PM me (Daganev) that you believe that Glomdoring is Tainted. Send a PM that says " I BELIEVE THAT THE GLOMDORING IS TAINTED!" Any time during the day (before voting takes place(i.e. if there are 10 players left, before 5 of them vote), if a believer in the Taint says "Glomdoring is Tainted" then everyone who declared Glomdoring to be Tainted is removed from the Forest.
A person during the day can say, "You must be a traitor because you believe Glomdoring is Tainted" (Or any other variation) and that will trigger Viravain to kick out all believers in the Taint during the night. If at any point, a majority of players believe that the Glomdoring is Tainted, the Beilievers gain control of Glomdoring and win.

Believing in the Taint is optional and may be done by Glommies(Townies) or Mafia. Beliveing in the taint gives you the unofficial role of "Believer"

You must join the Taint by the First Night.

Once you beilieve in the Taint, you may NOT recant.

Day One:

Kethuru, is a prisoner behind the Nine seals, after inhabiting the body of Lady Viravain. Viravain, now restored to what she claims is Her former glory, has announced to the basin that her old Creation, the Gloriana Forest is again open for inhabitance.

Various people have flocked to the old Forest, some to live in new lands, some to help increase their influence across the Basin. Lady Viravain has just named Gwynevere the new Queen of the Night replacing Rowena, and has welcomed people into the new wiccan guild of the Shadow Dancers, devoted to Mother Night. She has also named Daganev Treeripper, de-facto Guild Master of the new Ebonguard, being that he was the only Warrior in the commune at the time.

Lady Viravain announces that the Glomdoring Forest is the only thing that Matters to Her and is the only thing that should matter to the people of the new commune.

The task to the Commune is to route out any who have hints of disloyalty to the Glomdoring.

It is now Day 1: 10 people are still in the commune, 5 votes to ostracize.


Remember, if you would like to become a believer, do so by the end of Night 1, by sending me a pm that says "Glomdoring is TAINTED!"

Nobody may PM anybody else during the Day.

Heh, all I really have to say at this point is that Ashteru is going to be quite irritating, if we have to deal with this attitude for any significant period of time. "Puny weaklings," indeed... it's not like they're stupid enough to actually ostracize him before he says a word.

Nothing matters but Glomdoring, and Glomdoring needs its fighters!

I'm tempted to vote Ashteru for being annoying, but then again, I like annoying people.

Any guesses on who Ash's character might be?

Vote Xenthos Because the dice says so (after saying that I should vote for myself with isn't allowed).

That makes me think Ashteru is Magnagoran. But, I don't think there's enough evidence at this time to place a vote on him. I'll do it anyways though, cause it's the first day, and that's what the first day's about, isn't it?
