Hi guys,

Well, I'm planning the fashion show, and I wanted to save this thread for the OOC stuff.

I think the biggest question I have is how soon would be the best time. Since it's May, many of you are dealing with Finals in school and the like. Should I do it in early June? The end of May (Memorial Day Weekend)?

Date and time would be key. I want to make sure it's "peak time", as well as a time that can work with my own schedule. So I want to see what everybody thinks.

Note that the applicants don't need to attend, but the models of course do, so I want to make sure as many people who would be able to participate would be able to.

Awwww, can't non-tailors also submit designs? Pretty please? Not all 'fashion designers' have to be able to sew as well! pleasesign.gif

Also, early-mid June seems to be when most people (high school) have their exams. Maybe the end of June, if that's not too far away?

I really kinda want to reward Tailors though, Shou. (Although with the lack of response maybe I should reconsider--then again it's still early and it's pretty nice weather out there).

Basically, I want to have tailors create a whole "outfit", y'know, enough things so you are dressed normally or warmly. I'd have them submit the designs in a sack and then give them to models to wear. There are certain requirements I will list...no "race only" designs, no "skyclad" designs with only jewelry, choice of male/female/unisex, etc.

Methinks the tailors are waiting for your "details to come" follow-up. I know Isluna and I are.

Of course the one thing you can be guaranteed of in any "start-up" project is a disappointing level of participation, too. Just look at what happened with the Prestige works in the library system.

You should get a better response if you contact specific individuals and ask them to participate than if you just send out blanket announcements like you have been.

Do I count as a Nihilist if I just have that class, and not the guild membership? Because I'll do it. I'll even cross dress. I can bring my OWN supplies for that.

Heh, that's why the prizes--I wouldn't try to do this without giving them some incentives. I will try to approach people in-game, but my time availability is limited, so most of it will come in follow-up posts. Plus, I want this open to somebody who only plays the game 1AM-5AM my time or something like that.

I actually originally thought of that, but it's less participatory--all I'd end up doing is have 50 people mail Tully food and then he'd end up waddling for a month and have to walk up and down Avechna's peak to lose weight.

Seriously, I'd like to do it. Sadly, might not happen for a while. This might be my only credit purchase this year. Thanks to some bad contracting and collection, I have to pay off a lot of taxes this year. sad.gif
