One of my protege's bough credits and my account got some Since when does that happen? Or do I just need more proteges?

Mentors get 15% of what their proteges buy. It's always been this way.

If you read the help files they tell you to before mentoring someone it's all in there, as well as warnings not to pressure your protégés to buy credits or become your protégé if they don't want to. At any rate, it's been around since before Lusternia has been.

Yeah, but last I checked, it was something absurdly low in Achaea, like 5%

I got some mentor credits once!
Only have four proteges, all who went inactive pretty much, and one of them turned leafy
I'm a better mentor when I'm not an official one, apparently

Wait... so were these credits my proteges or are they "bonus" credits? I don't want to take her credits that she paid for....
Unknown2006-05-15 13:53:20
They're extra credits. You are awarded credits worth 15% (I think) of your proteges purchase, for the first 1000 credits total your protege buys.
It has been that way ever since the early days of Achaea, though I think they had a different reward at first. And Achaea changed the system a while back of course after they figured the vast majority of those "bonus" credits are usually passed on to the protege straight away. (Which is not what they're meant for, obviously)

Yeah, they're yours. Enjoy.
EDIT: Meaning, they aren't "taken" from her, they are bonus ones awarded to you for being her mentor.

Hm... none of my protogés want to buy credits; consider yourself lucky.
Richter2006-05-15 15:50:36
I've only gotten two proteges buying credits. The second one was a day or two ago, and I got a whole six credits.
Acrune2006-05-15 19:27:17
I've gotten around 150 credits for mentoring, I think. Not bad. Think I'll take some proteges over the summer, its been a while since I've taken any.
